anyone watch Fortitude last night?

what did you think?

anyone watching Wolf Hall?

Amazing acting by Mark Rylance. Acts everyone else off the screen even when he doesn't speak

BBC drama of the highest order

Found Wolf Hall a bit of a drag TBH although I do agree about Mark Rylance.

Recorded Fortitude, from all the hype I'm quite looking forward to it.  Didn't bother with Wolf Hall, I'm not in to period drama but have heard good reviews.  Someone even said it was "perfect television".

Re Wolf Hall: Amazing how they've managed to take the slow, grinding, relentless inaccessibility of the book and project it on screen.

Pretentious, tedious and series-unlinked.

Yes, Rylance is excellent though.

"Mark", the director would shout, "Stare into space for a bit and then walk over there". Thought the review on Weekly Wipe last night was magnificent. I'm even prepared to be satirised by it Cheesy

Yes, Ryalnce is excellent though.

I Think it works well precisely because it is slow paced and thoughtful, all politics and despotism

series linked :-)

Just finished SOA

Enjoyed immensenly.... proper brutal and ended just as it was entering territory that may be viewed as ludicrously over the top..

At least we had a closure ending ..

If you're going to miss your weekly fix of violence I'd recommend Banshee. Similarly easy viewing, lots of blood, totally unrealistic but thoroughly enjoyable for an hour once a week.

Doesn't have the immense comedy value of Tig Trader but some very entertaining characters non the less.

Really liked Fortitude - liked the fact you not sure if its a straight drama or if its going to go all "Twin peaks".  Obviously its very "The Killing/the Bridge" like, but the cast is strong, the setting led to some breath-taking camera work, has masses of potential.

The show I am looking forward too most this year . .

Original series was destroyed by the writers strike could have been so much more, so I am glad they are trying again.

Been following it on syfy. Certainly watchable if you are into sci-fi. Also been watching the 100, it is better than I thought it would be.

Fortitude has an immense cast, would of liked to have seen more of Ecclestone in it though, obviously.

Cheers, seen a couple of episodes so far, not ground breaking but as you said watchable.

Just seen the first episode of Dominion. Based on the film Legion. Promising start.
