Going to cheltenhem on thursday never been any where near a horse race before but after a bit of research here are my picks , fortunately i used my noggin and signed up with a few online bookmakers who match your initial bet with a free bet so without further ado here are my picks

Jewson Novices

Rivaliste £5 e/w at 6-1
also like the look of no strings attached(20-1) and sunnyhillboy(9-1) and may do a small £2 e/w on them both

Pertemps Final

3-1 Alfie Sherrin (will use my £10 free bet ) to win

also will be putting £5 e/w on Smoking Aces at £12-1

Ryan Air Chase

Tranquil Sea £5 to win at 4-1

World Hurdle

Tidal Bay £3 e/w at 7-1  (mainly because Big Bucks is supposed to be a very very strong favourite)

Byrne Group Plate

Sunnyhill boy 10-1 £5 e/w

Kim Muir Challenge

Shillingstone £5 e/w at 9-1

thoughts and advice for cheltenham most welcome

Just enjoy yourself mate. I'm sure you will. I'm no expert but it looks like most of the horses you've picked have all got a chance.

Sick, first time race goers should never be allowed to go to Cheltenham !

You need to serve an apprenticeship ... Sedgefield, fontwell, Huntingdon, Goodwood THEN Cheltenham, if you do Chelts first you will never truly appreciate the atmosphere or the racing unless you have suffered/endured a spot of NH racing in winter where the bookies outnumber the punters Wink

That said, have a blinding day.
