We have beated team USA in the end and 3 of the Hendon Mob were in the team and all did great, I was the team captain a great day for International Poker. Camel mate if you were here you would have been first pick as well.

Why would he be banned?

Any US team without Hellmuth couldn't possibly win (or so he's think Cheesy)
Well done Tony and the rest of the world.

I believe Tony was never banned but decided to leave on his own account because of all the negative responses to his Monte Carlo rubdowns and subsquent remarks in his response post. I for one am glad to see him back as his background work for blonde was only a plus for the site and ensuring it becomes financially viable. IMO some of the attacks against him were a bit OTT. Saying that I'm not a fan of "childish" rubdowns or even loud mouth behaviour at the table and don't respond kindly to them when I'm playing. Wish I was as controlled as someone like Ram and could just walk away from such actions but I'm old school and believe that's what car parks were invented for, to sort out such issues Smiley. Guess it would make interesting viewing if I ever played the poker brat or the mouth in a live game Smiley

p.s. well done in beating the loud mouth yanks Smiley Smiley Smiley

That's an awesome line-up Tony... as good as it gets... with characters such as yourself, Matusow, and Negreanu I'm sure it'll be a blast to watch. I assume that colluding was allowed within teams?

No, Tony G was NOT banned, ever, though perhaps one or two of his Posts, written when feelings were running high, were, or should have been, removed. I certainly did not approve of the comments he made at the time about Camel, but that's all in the past, it is not necessary to carry these things through life, we move on.

We parted company on good terms, & we remain so.

The parting of the ways was not connected with Monte Carlo, though that was the catlyst. My feelings on table behviour are well-known, but Tony's resignation from blonde had nothing to do with that.

I hope Tony continues to Post on blonde.

I would add, as  measure of the respect he has in this business, that we would have removed the link he posted if anyone else had posted it. But he's entitled, in my opinion, to some leeway. I am not wholly sure that blonde would have survived unless Tony had come along & helped us with various things, which resulted in us earning some much-needed money.

Thanks very much guys, despite some of you not liking me I still love
you all. This is a great forum and I hope you guys do very well and enjoy poker. It has been a great year for me and I hope next year will be half as good. I made up with the Mobsters and I apologized for making some stupid comments on here, for one Barneys performances in the WPT have been better then mine over the past 12 months and he was close to winning here again after doing well in this same event last year.

I am off to Australia to play some pretty big events including the first part of the 100k speed poker tour event which will climax with a 10 million buy inn final in Melbourne later in 2006. Most important Camel I send you my apologies as well and hope that in 2006 we can hold no grudges and move on you a very good player in my book. As Ah

Apology accepted.

Holding grudges is pointless and infantile.

I also apologise for making certain comments. I will never accept that rub downs and excessive celebrations have place at the poker table, but I should have made the comments much more generally. You are one the best poker players in the world and I have no wish to make another enemy.

I won't be around much in 2006 but the tentitive plan is to be in Melbourne for the Aussie Millions in 2007 and watch the ashes retained. Hopefully we can share a  then.
