im bored and cant sleep so thought id give a run down of my bets today with a bit of reasoning for each. feel free to follow/lay/slate/laugh
1.30 - westlin winds 12/1 - the horse that beat it last time out would probs of been fav today but for injury, but he wasnt beaten far and alan king rated his one as his best. prior to that he hacked up in two small events but if he had a different trainer/jockey he would be half the price he is today.
2.05 - secret dancer 22/1 - this race is always ultra competitive and you could make a serious case for about 12 but this horse had a good run over course and distance this season (where he finished ahead of the paul nicholls fav today off level weights). that was back in november but the form has worked out very well with the horses around them that day all running with credit in much better races. my selection has been lightly raced and could be open to some improvement, last seen running a decent race for a long time before stamina might have emptied on him over 2 1/2 miles vs tuesdays champion hurdler 3rd zaynar again at cheltenham.
2.35 - shinrock paddy 9/1 - shinrock paddy has only been beaten once in his career and that was in the bumper here last year to dunguib but this horse was always going to need a trip and the 3miles should be perfect. his impressive grade 1 win last time out suggests he has a touch of class about him too.
3.20 - purely a spectating race for me. i'd love to see denman win in good style but it doesn't look likely.
4.00 - i love racing and i understand the importance it has for the sport but i just hate these races lol (same as the cross country) so i didn't even look at it.
4.40 - clova island 14/1 - again ridiculously competitive, well done if you can pick the winner here. i like 3 or 4 but going to go for the in form trainer hobbs with an improving sort down the bottom of the handicap. won eased down last time out and has run behind some good horses including a run behind wednesdays coral cup winner spirit river. with a good jockey on board (has more relevance in these type of races) taking a 3lb claim off i think he has as good a chance as any.
5.15 - pepsyrock 25/1 - to finish the festival off we have another handicap where you're hard pressed to find a winner. i've gone for what looks like the forgotten horse of nicky hendersons string. its not very often you will find tony mccoy on a 25/1 shot but this young horse was in good form this time last year on good ground. he hasn't had ground like that since and im hoping this could be the difference today. 25/1 could look big if he turns up on his A game for it.

Ladbrokes are best price for Kuato Star in the Gold Cup at 5/6 which I think is pretty generous.
Whats makes this even better though is if Kuato wins by 5 lenghts or more they will pay out at 6/5
Lump on

Not had a single bet this year. Oh well I make £9 on roulette while waiting to see what would happen, cashed all out now. They have these fit east european birds spinning the roulette wheel live, never seen than before. then again I never play casino games..........

The guy who inputs Victors prices must be able to see them from his desk. LOL I bet its actually based in the Ukraine or somewhere shit so they can pay them 3 beans an hour......... Actually funnily enough I saw this in a casino on the Thai/cambodian border, a whole room full of tables baccarat running with no players in front only cameras above the table so people could play online, there were about 10 of them running. huge fail. all those countries to choose from and you go for afaik the only one where roulette is illegal

I like Olofi in the first race EW @ 12s (top 4 with some bookies). Soldatino main danger but unsure as to how he will act on the ground.
Tell Massini @ 9/2 in the 2.40 although again a worry that he has only raced on soft. Still, that price is too big..
In the foxhunters i like Trust Fund @ 8/1 and have also backed Burntoakboy @ 120.0
