I used to love watching this on CH 4 back in the late 80s. Setanta have been showing live games for the last 2 years and now ESPN have picked it up with 2-3 live games every weekend. New season starts on Thursday with Carlton v Richmond live from the MCG and I can't wait!

Does anyone else follow this or I am just a freak?

Yeah Gaelic is the only game remotely similar, its nothing like rugby.

I remember this...now what was the song that they played while showing all the highlights of the games......classic

why the hell ESPN show this in front of Australian Rugby League (NRL) is beyond me but i guess the AFL seel the rights cheap for exposure.

AFL highlights are Ok but watching a full game is like watching grown men scapping on the floor for a ball
