Doing a prop with a mate where we pick top 20 players of all time and then ask frineds and whoever gets most +1's wins the prop. He is talking about having Cannavaro and Bergkamp as certs and how its so standard. Has to be in order too btw. Just going to put mine down quickly as got uni at 9 but will update it over next few days, suggestions too pls.

1.Pele
2.Maradona
3.Zidane
4.Johan Cruyff
5.Messi
6.Platini
7.George Best
8.Puskas
9.Eusebio
10.Gullit
11.Fat Ronaldo
12.Zico
13.Beckenbauwer
14.Jarzinho
15.Hagi
16.Weah
17.Van Basten
18.Maldini
19.Baresi
20.Lothar Matthaus

Ones in bold ive put in, again this is from the top of my head.

John Charles ftw.
"The respect Charles earned from Juventus fans was shown when, on the occasion of the club's centenary in 1997 they voted him to be the best-ever player to play for their team."

At his funeral, John Toshack read a self-penned poem. "A giant with a gentle touch, just watching him we learnt so much, I think you know the one I mean, the greatest player that’s ever been.”

Di Stefano too.

Platini said a couple of year ago if John Charles played today he would be worth at least £70million...

Platini does talk a lot of crap though and I doubt he ever saw Charles play.

How does that vary from yourself recommending Garrincha/Euseibio/Di Stefano when you obv have never seen them?!

I am not saying they are worth 70miillion am I and don't have a record for saying things for whatever political thing Platini is trying to achieve at UEFA. If you want to take everything Platini says as gospel, you go right ahead.

lol, fk the politics, juts saying that Platini has opinion on a player before his generation being worth a lot of money, then you suggest 3 players, which I dont disagree with btw, before your generation who you think are worth being in the top 20 ever, I fail to see any difference there tbh.

Meh whatever, i am very sceptical that anything that comes out of Platini's mouth is not for political reasons.

Anyway if you are going to have Charles in the mix, Jimmy Greaves goalscoring record is far better.
