Hi all,

I managed to buy a seat cheaply for the Irish Open Main Event which takes place in Dublin across the bank holiday weekend.

Buy in:

3200+300 (euros)

Proposal:

I will be selling 40% of my action for 40% equity. I.e. at 1.0 If you buy a 10% share you would get 10% of any winnings in the tournament. I believe I could sell at more than 1.0 but because I got the seat real cheap I'm happy to sell at cost. I will be paying my own flight, accomodation and expenses.

Record:

Within the last year I've probably played 15 or so live tournaments with a buy in of £100-£1000 (Most within the £300 range) as previously I was predominantly a cash player. I chopped the £200 Freezeout at the Vic for £4300, came 5th in the £200 at the Big Slick club for £1500, 8th in the £150 at DTD for £800 as well as a few mincashes and more recently I chopped the DTD £300 deepstack heads up for £7250.

Total outlay was around £5k or just shy with just over a £12k return on these though obviously the sample size is small.

I'm GreekStein on Full Tilt.

Other Potential Considerations for stakers:

One thing that may be seen as a potential downside for stakers is that this will be the biggest event I've played to date after the £1k Monte Carlo event. I don't think this will affect me negatively at all. I'm quite used to playing for large amounts in cash games etc and never play scared etc. I think it will make me focus and try harder if anything but it's something for stakers to note.

I feel I'm playing well in tournaments this last year, pretty much always ammassing a stack.

Monies:

5%= E175  = £157.50 or $236
10% = £315 etc....

Payments:

Payments ideally by bank but I will accept FTP xfer too.

Any questions? If not, flame away.

Cos

And on what grounds do you believe you could sell at more than 1.0 please?

Well firstly it's a very satellite heavy field which means there should be significant value. I expect to have an edge on many of the players though obviously I'm not claiming to be Jason Mercier.

In addition, I've spoken to several people who have previously played the event and they deem it to be pretty soft. This would be in line with the last time I played in Ireland - it was like playing poker in 2003 again.

Finally, I wasn't suggesting I could sell at a huge mark up, but bearing in mind people don't usually sell at 1.0 regardless of their edge, given the added costs and expenses I'll incur I would have thought 1.1 or 1.2 was easily justifiable. I'm happy not to do that.

Cheers.
