Whilst most on here have been basking in the glory of titles or promotion at Chelsea, Man U, Newcastle, Norwich and Leeds there is a massive battle going on to stay in the Championship between 4 sides.  With Plymouth and Peterborough already relegated there is 1 place to be filled between Sheffield Weds, Crystal Palace, Watford and Scunthorpe.

19 Scunthorpe 43 -21 50
20 Watford 43 -13 48
21 Crystal Palace 44 -3 47
--------------------------------
22 Sheff Wed 44 -19 46

Relegation odds:

Sheff Wed 4/6
C Palace 13/8
Watford 7/1
Scunthorpe 66/1

Remaining fixture:
Tonight
QPR v Watford
Scunthorpe v Reading

Saturday
Cardiff v Sheff Wed
Doncaster v Scunthorpe
Watford v Reading

Monday
C Palace v WBA

Last day
Coventry v Watford
Scunthorpe v N Forest
Sheff Wed v C Palace

I know there are a few Sheffield boys on here, but not sure about any from Watford or Scunny, but lets keep this thread going until relegation is sorted with some friendly banter and decent opinions.

For me personally I see it going to a last game shoot out between Wednesday and Palace (already have my ticket) as I don’t think either of those teams will win their next match.
Watford are certainly not safe though and defeat tonight will see their odds drop significantly in my opinion.

Whatever happens it is going to be a nervous couple of weeks  scared

I think we (Wednesday) are down. We won't beat Cardiff so best case scenario we go into the final day knowing a win will keep us up and i think we'll only draw. I'll probably go to the game. 2 seasons ago we needed to win to stay up and we did it but i don't feel as confident this time around. That was Dion Dublin's last game. It was a great atmosphere and one of my favourite football days actually.

Are Palace going to be out of administration by the start of next season?

Sheff Wed v C Palace what a huge game

Having seen all of these 1 or 2 times this season live I can safely say Wednesday are the worst of the remaining 4 but last game at home in front of a big crowd I fancy them to beat a young Palace team

I think Palace might go.

I hope Wednesday go down, apologies to Josedinho.

Many Wednesday supporting friends of mine seem to care more about Leeds losing than their own team winning all season, when we are usually not bothered about them in any way.

They have their wish now though, i hope they go down.

Also because its another Yorkshire derby for us next year in League One.

Im a Sheff Utd fan that has Weds as my 2nd team so not got the vitriol in me that'rivals' are supposed to have.

I fear for Weds and the fixtures look to have fallen badly for them. Palace play at home to a West Brom team that could be on its hols already as they are up and have nowt to play for now. Weds have to go to Cardiff who need to win to have a chance of getting above Forest for 3rd place which should be an advantage but even if Cardiff do rest some players I think Weds are so bad they will struggle to get anything there anyway.

I was in Sheffield on Sunday and the comms and radio analyst were all talking about the last game decider against Palace but the way I see it Weds could be down this weekend as a point for Watford will be enough given their better goal difference if Weds do get beaten at Cardiff.  Its not a big price that Watford get a point either tonight or Saturday and Weds lose at Cardiff meaning a Forest win next Monday all but relegates Weds.

I cant bet it coz I want them to stay up but 4/6 seems a decent price given the poor form they are in.

Last nights matches saw Scunthorpe score 2 late goals to secure a draw and their safety with a draw against Reading, and Watford lose 1-0 at QPR.
So it is now a 3 horse 'race' for the final spot.
Bet365 are the only bookies with odds for the relegation spot and strangely go 15/2 on Watford despite their defeat last night and they are only 13/2 on Betfair!!!

20 Watford 44 -14 48
21 Crystal Palace 44 -3 47
--------------------------------
22 Sheff Wed 44 -19 46

Relegation odds:

Sheff Wed 4/6
C Palace 13/8
Watford 15/2

Tighty, our team is not that young - our expected strongest line up would only include 1 player under the age of 26, and that would be if Clyne played in place of Butterfield.  6 of the starting line up are in their 30's!!
