Hand 1:

Hero (13k) raises  utg to 200, 4 callers to the flop. pot 1,150

flop:

Hero bets 650, 1 caller (oldish asian loose passive station)

turn :

checks through (villain insta checked back)

river :

Hero bets 1,525.....

Hand 2:

utg and mp1 limp, hero (11k) raises  to 400, cutoff (16k) calls, bb (18k) calls, utg folds, mp1 (18k) calls. pot 1,750

flop :

hero bets 875, co the only caller (tightish guy but only one hand get to showdown in c.45mins was him opening A5s from utg+1, cbetting 922r HU, check back 3 turn and bet 2/3 pot on 5 river)

turn :

hero bets 1,750 (bet with two 1k chips), co snap raises to 4,000 (uses four 1k chips). villain seems like an amateur/casual player. also appears a bit nervous. i ask him "you know what i have right?", he abruptly replies "doesn't matter what you have", hero folds.....

discuss.....

On paper, Hand 2 feels like an all in to me: A-Q, A-8, K-Q, maybe Q-8 versus 8-8 or J-T.

2- sick spot. your range is like aa/kk/qq/ak/aq here, looks like he has j10/88. horrible spot i sigh live timebank/hollywood tank fold.

1-If you get re-raised here i would fold. I don't think villian will be re-raising with less than the nut flush.

2-I would suspect either AQ or 88 with a slight chance of AK. I think you probably made a great fold there.

1st of all love the title Smiley

2nd of all fold pre the J-10o UTG and stop being a hero.

3rdly don't like these big bets. I don't mind a check on the flop to be honest for pot control but the problem is it's so multiway. But when the gutter gets there you lose less when you get check raised due to a smaller pot Wink. If you bet smaller or checked the flop you could call a raise on the turn to try and boat up as you would be getting the correct odds, but when he makes it half your stack it's a crying fold Sad

Big bets?Huh?Huh?Huh?Huh?Huh??

He has punished 2 limpers by making it 4x pre, which is way too small, and then bet half the pot on flop and turn!!!!!!! Which would be considered small bets imo

Yes I imagine so, just wondering if his reasons were the more obvious ones or what his thoughts were on why.
