Serious question for the Scottish fans - what is Andy Dorman like.
We have signed him on a free from St Mirren, only seen good reports about him but just wondering what people had seen him play thought of him?

No better than average from what i have seen Matt. Scored a few decent goals last season. Will do ok though for Palace.

My Kris Boyd goals spread was 20-21.

Will get shed loads against the bottom half of the division, and will be top 3 goalscorer in the league I reckon

I actually think Boyd is going to tear it up.

If Boro sign some width before the season starts I wouldn't be suprised to see him finish the season nearer 30 than 20 if he stays fit.

I was chancing my arm with Dave yesterday tbh  Cheesy

Do you not think you would get better odds than evens in a bookies for him to score 16+..... I reckon would be there or thereabouts

Nah, I think the Championship is stronger overall than the SPL by a distance, Boyd may get 12 goals in a team of SPL rejects if he is lucky.

Norwich have signed Simeon Jackson from Gillingham for 600k, which brings our summer spending to around 1.5mill. We have signed Surman from Wolves, Crofts from Brighton, Ward from Coventry and Fox from Colchester. Not sure where the money is coming from given we are pretty much broke, but at least we are signing young players on a permanent basis rather than washed Premiership stars on loan on big wages.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/middlesbrough/8787040.stm

Pretty amazing signing, cant see the 10/1 on them for the Championship lasting much longer after this signal of intent from Steve Gibson.

[ ] Yea, cos he is really good at scoring goals against half decent teams lol

good SPL Player against Killie, Dundee Utd and Aberdeen etc, outside those type of teams.......no chance.

Just look at his scoring record against us (1 goal in 20+ games), or in Europe (3 goals in 19 games)

He also wont like playing along side Scott McDonald, as with his height, he will be the one holding the ball up for Scott

I'm in 2 minds about boyd leaving...was never a great fan and make no mistake he wasn't a great player but he is a good goalscorer but like you say didn't score much in Europe or against Celtic but outwith that he scored a barrowload which is your bread and butter no? If we didnt have him last season the championship would have been a lot closer

I actually think he'll flourish in the championship...just like a lot of the fringe old firm players have done in recent years...its more his level than the premiership

I agree with this. The guy is a goalscorer and thats about it. He struggles against decent oppo because there are no surprises with Boyd, they know exactly the positions he will take up, he has no pace and very little game intelligence and isn't the best at holding the ball up and bringing others into the play. Kenny Miller is a bigger danger because of pace and movement. Anyone who thinks he's incred simply hasn't seen him play very often.

Will still score 20 odd in the Championship, as Hairy says, thats more his level, ffs Charlie Adam was a superstar in that league!

Kevin Thomson going to Borough as well? Borough buying up the SPL?

Thomson is a far better player to have than Boyd outside the SPL, by a long shot.

Thomson is a good/decent player. I can't believe Boyd is still underrated in Scotland though...completely baffles me.

Miller also up for sale, apparently...WTF is Rangers doing?

Rangers are busto, even Chris Eagles has decided a move to them is not in his best interests.

Celtic at 5/6 to win the SPL next season is buying money.

I can confirm that John Ruddy will be the star next season. He is a future England No 1.

Oh yeah forgot about our new GK, was a bit gutted we didn't get Forster on loan again as he was incred last season. Good to hear you really rate him, a geniunely exciting time to be a Norwich fan, we are on the up at last.

£15,000 per week offered by Rangers, Eagles laughs and walks out, heading to EPL for Double that.

Thomson also away to SPL FC Middlesbrough.

Better get on that 5/6, it will be gone vey very soon!

Seem to remember all this chanter last season...and the season before...again last year we never brought anybody in but lost players! All this with Celtic spending(for a scottish team) a small fortune

In fact Dave how much did you bet on celtic winning the league last year? must've been close to £100 going through all your bets...seem to remember you betting £50 on Celtic when yous were like 7 points behind or something?

We might've lost Boyd, Beasley, Steve Smith & Novo...and maybe even Wilson soon but the key guy at the club remains...theres not a lot of times Celtic have got the better of Walter Smith over the 10 years he has managed the club
