The game last night was seen by about 450 I think, finished 2-1 to Wigan, who played the better stuff throughout, they had a stronger team out on 'paper' too.  (more on this in the next post...!)

McCarthy & Martinez were both there, big Gerry taggert too!  Cheesy

Eerie atmosphere there last night, this is the 2nd Prem reserve game I've seen in the 'proper' stadium, it just doesn't feel right, very flat, the game looks slow paced too in these big arenas, especially like at Wolves when your a good way from the pitch anyway.

Wolves scored early against the run of play really, a good goal too.  You cannot help notice the abundance of SportingBet signs Molineux, everywhere.  SO had a quick look on the SB app on the iPhone after the 1st goal, see how they priced up in running, bear in mind Wigan looked the better side.  Got a little tickle on Wigan next goal & Wigan to win (draw no bet).  They equalised around the 75th minute after dominating the 2nd half, and when in the car driving back up the A41 had a nice suprise when I checked the Wolves website. Smiley

Daniel De Ridder, you may never play another Prem game on last nights showing, but I owe you a beer.  Cheesy

Obv his best days are behind him, heading to retirement town, stopping at Bradford on the way I think, should do a job for you for a month or 2, don't expect any miracles.  Looks slower than he is but will do a decent job of bringing others around him into the game, never scored lots, but a a 'managers player'.

Can Brighton sustain their start?  I really don't know.

after watching them today I'm gonna say they can. they have the perfect game for this level, pass the ball around for 90 minutes and score on the break, if you don't get one on the break go for it in the last 10 when the oppo are knackered from chasing after you for the previous 80

apart from when we were in the prem and we used to clap off non league/lower league teams who'd played well against us in the cup today is the only time I can remember the valley giving a standing ovation to the visitors as they left the pitch

That reminds me of the Dennis Bergkamp goal against us when he scored an incred goal turning Nikos Dabizas with sick skillz,I was sitting in level 7 so couldn't really see but the bloke behind me started clapping,I turned round and gave him a look to say WTF ?? and he said "what it was a class goal" I was steaming, then got home saw the goal on MOTD and thought wow sick goal fair enough lol.

Would be fun to have Poyet as your manager I think. Forces players to pass not get rid, probably destined to be a top division manager I would think

ChipPrince how do you rate Leon Knight? I know he has had his problems way clubs and stuff but do you think he could still do job in England and what level?

He has signed for an Irish League team Coleraine FC and scored two on his debut yesterday i think he will score loads in the IL, The reason is to do way his registration way Rushen and Diamonds but im sure you know that already.

and ironically his son plays for England under-16, and is on Charlton's books!!

He played in the 4-0 loss to Wales on Friday night, Diego Poyet.

Big chip on his shoulder, upsets staff wherever he plays.  Always had talent, just perhaps not the brain cells in his 'noggin.  Darlington were trying to sign him off Rushden, so I think there's his level right there, Conference, maybe League 2 if someone could put up with him.  Doubt he'll score loads for Coleraine, simply won't last there long enough IMO.

Started following him on Twitter when he started shouting about his Rushden registration problem..they held his registration and asked for £30k off him to release it, he says

I lasted three weeks listening to his rants before I unfollowed

Must be a dressing room nightmare!
