Right, 3 games to catch up on.
Saturday the 12th I went down to Worcester to see Evesham (who are groundsharing at Worcester) play against Swindon Supermarine. Finished 1-0 to SS, an injury time winner. Was a morgue like atmosphere though, 94 spectators is very poor even for this level.

Tuesday night I went to an FA Cup replay, Vauxhall Motors V Hartlepool. VM is only 10 miles up the road for me so easy to get to, I'm not sure if this was a record attendance for them though without checking, but there was 2,400+ there and it was heaving, lucky I found a parking space in a lay-by 1/2 mile from the ground and got an early escape in.
Finished 1-0 to hartlepool so no shock here.

I got there at 2.30 so those were taken about 2.35 so not
that
early. There was 3,700 there in the end, probs about 100 from Torquay!

Rowe-Turner was an unused sub.
To watch a couple from Torquay, and Stockport hasn't been 'ticked off' as a team to watch again/write off as far as any interesting players may be concerned. Its again, just adding to the database of players covered, getting various opinions of players and keeping everything up to date.

No game tomorrow, didn't even get the chance to be scheduled for one before having it postponed, bacame obvious as the week went on that few, if any lower league games would get the go ahead.
Went to Bury v P'boro last saturday, FA Cup 2nd round action. Colchester play P'boro on boxing day, which still seems miles away, but is actually only 3 games ahead I think, plus with games now liable to go off then early looks at teams are certainly better than no look at all.
Also been drawn against Swansea in the FA Cup 3rd round, so might be at a Championship game somewhere over xmas.

Seeing the words FA Cup and Vauxhall Motors close together still sends a shiver down my spine.

Was meant to be going to Oldham v Swindon tomorrow (Colchester playing Oldham on the 28th I think), but thats been called off already because of the pitch, waterlogged after the thaw.
So been switched to Stockport V Crewe, the pitch there is awful at the best of times, so I'll have to keep an eye on that one incase it goes off too.
Please be on though, told I'm going Xmas shopping if I've got no game.

Couple of questions for ya:
1. What are your thoughts on Charlie Austin (Swindon) and Adam Hammill (Barnsley)? (2 targets for the Mighty Seasiders)
2. How easy is it getting coaching work with clubs/academies? (I'm making a start on my badges in Jan. Long journey, but would be good to know how easy it is to get in with clubs)
3. Which club do you reckon has the best youth set up in the SW?? (I saw u had dealings with Cheltenham)
KUTGW!!!!!
Cheers for the words about the thread.
1. I was due to watch Swindon for the 1st time on sat at Oldham but it was called off so havent seen them this season. He's good, really good at this level, seems humble and trouble free so far, havent heard anything bad about him. Certainly his last season in League 1, but hell of a jump to the Prem, who knows though, he made in theory an even bigger jump from way down the leagues to League 1.
Hammill I said earlier in the thread his career now goes 1 of 2 ways, he's certainly putting it back on track so far this season hasnt he? Some great goals.
2. Coaching work, sorry I'm probably not best quified to answer this, as I dont and have never done it, having never been at the clubs on a day to day basis.
3. Again sorry, not something I could answer with any knowledge as I don't do anything on the youth/academy side.

Sproule is now on loan at Yeovil, think he had some personal problems which have obv affected him.
Would be a great time to get Austin in I think for Blackpool, club riding high, full of confidence. Polar opposite to when Birmingham signed
Campbell when they were really struggling and he couldn't really find his feet. Confidence is such an underrate factor in football imo.

I suppose with Beckford he's shown he's not afraid to dip into the lower leagues, would be interesting to see the fee.
