ICMaments

Shortie has 3 big blinds and is in the big blind next hand.

Big stack can call us knowing he's still highly likely to finish at least 2nd. We're risking a very likely 2nd to risk busting out in third...

Doesn't he fold ridic high % of time though, given shortstack.... i prob way off here tbh, sigh

would it make a difference if our stacks were equal ?

Yeah def makes a difference if his stack is same as ours and less than 15bbs deep

SNG Wiz will give you a decent range in this spot. It's gonna depend on your perception of villain how wide you can shove.

Walk him 95% of the time here I feel.

The payouts are worth working together (or rather dictate that you should) strand the shorty.

I admire your agressive thinking, it's the just wrong spot. Situational blah de blah...

I would guess you shoved your 13 bigs light and got called light, & then felt sad.

Reads on the bb are crucial here as the ICM effect of getting called with the shortie are pretty big.

As a default I would probably be shipping about top 30% here but would happily ship wider with a read.

Totally player dependant. If you think that you're gunna get snapped off by 44 and K9 then you should be shoving pretty tight.

I much prefer raise/folding than shoving in this spot, assuming that the guy isn't good enough to just jam 100% over our raise or bad enough to flat us a lot.
