I'm on Boro @ 9/1 for Championship and Wednesday for NPL1 @ 7/1 and the double.
Delighted with the signings Wednesday have made. Reckon it's the best squad we've had since being relegated from the Prem. I think i'd still be confident we can compete for promotion if Tudgay and Grant were to leave before the season starts. Looks like everyone is confident so looking forward to the season kicking off.

So far i have backed:
Middlesbrough
to win the Championship @ 10/1.
7/1 now so happy with this. Got the bet on just before Boyd was confirmed and now with them having signed Mcmanus and Thompson also im delighted with this bet. Can't see them being far away surely?
Stoke
to be relegated from the Premiership @ 7/1.
I think the squad is weak and teams will have started to work them out by now. I think they may follow from Reading? and Ipswich in recent years and suffer from 3rd season syndrome after over acheiving for 2 seasons.
I also like but am not on yet:
Drogba
to be top prem scorer @ 6/1
Tevez
to be top prem scorer @ 14/1
And i make League One between Southampton, Huddersfield and
Peterborough
. I would back Huddersfield @ 10/1 as it was a few weeks ago but i missed the boat and they are now 8/1. I may join others on here by getting on the Posh boat @ 12/1 EW.
It pains me but i agree. only thing is we have some serious signings in the offing that should affect things but knowing pulis he'll probably just use them as subs every other game and stick with big mama sidibe up front.

Dundee Utd +22 for the Scot Prem on handicap looks interesting.
Also, awaiting prices on top scorer. Gary Hooper ftw obv.

Lay Forest at about
....then back them after we don't win either of our first 2 games for a tidy profit.
No signings, talk of major unrest, and IMO, a tougher league this year.
Easy cash.

I think there may be some valoooo in Torquay EW @25's. They finished last year like a steam train (including a 5 nil win over Rochdale), they have kept hold of nearly all there loan signings plus added a few more faces... add to that a good pre season so its looking good on the south coast!

Lewis is the best keeper outside the Prem, let alone in League 1.

don't rule brighton out of league 1
done a few accumulators, think norwich are quite good value, surman and the guy from gillingham are quality players. Chelsea, mboro, soton treble for the title returns like 68-1, which is good odds i think

Just had my first bet on the football for season 2010/11. A speculative tenner on Dundee Utd to win the SPL at 90/1. Obviously it's a tenner I expect to say goodbye to but I think there is a bit of value to be had here.
The OF are IMO the weakest they have been in a long long time. Rangers have a depleted squad with little or no prospect of any real quality coming into the squad and even a couple of so so jersey fillers are proving hard to come by. Not to mention Walter Smith saying it's his last season. Will need masses of luck with injuries and everyone consistently performing well to stand any chance of retaining the title.
Celtic have a rookie manager and there are massive changes to their playing personnel which may take a while to gel if they gel at all. Add to this an abundance of strikers who would struggle to hit a barn door at 10 paces.
Dundee Utd so far have not had much change on or off the field and finished the season on a high. If there is little change to their squad and they get off to a good start they could offer a real challenge to the OF.
Webster went back to Rangers, thats probably the worst player they couldve lost. Held their defence together, was their voice of experience and their inspiration. I also think their manager will suffer from 2nd season syndrome

I was about to suggest the opposite. League is easier. The teams that have come down aren't as good as Newcastle or West Brom were. Cardiff are struggling for money still. Boro have improved but should be a more even league but i don't think the top 2 will be as good as last year. Acquisitions Panel have now finalised the transfer targets and Forest have started making bids.

Not my team, but i do not see the hype in tipping up the likes of chelsea/southampton and gillingham as groundbreaking. IMO! i feel theres a little value, just putting it out there.

Speculative £10 e/w Lucky 15 - pretty sure Stan James were best prices and I had a roll there....
Man City 5/1 - yes I know I know, but Chelsea and Utd seem ageing, Liverpool in disarray, I really think Arsenal are the dangers
Boro 9/1 - hard for a Geordie, they will be a class above, teams going down poor, good signings, Strachan too good for Championship
Wednesday 7/1 - again good signings, squad still intact, Tugay a level above league one and Irvince probably the best manager in that division - did little wrong at Preston
Bradford 10/1 - Peter Taylor, master of getting out of the basement
That's my lot - always need a nit of luck and only ever hit 3/4 once and a all correct place. here's to 2010/11!

Biggets price Luton is 2-1 and I think they'll win the league too, which is why I'd rather back Tubbsy at 7-1 than Crawley at the same price.
Speaking of Tubbsy, Danny Crow is, and always has been, too farking lazy to be as prolific as he should be at that level.
We had him at his, ahem, peak, but he's such a lazy gobshite, always whinging. And eating it seems. Wouldn't back him for anything. Apart from a pie-eating contest.

Luton have made some solid signings for the coming season, last year was a culture shock and huge mistakes were made early season that cost us our ticket out of the league
Upfront we will score bundles of goals, our only weakness if we have one is cover at the back should injuries come into play
Danny Crow,Matthew Barnes-Homer,and Tom Craddock will score for fun, if i were looking for a bet it would be on one of these 3 to top score
You can get Craddock at 9/1,Crow at 12/1,and my tip would be Barnes-Homer at 20/1 to be the outright top scorer
As far as losing Keith Keane goes, its a non-starter
Luton through and through, pops into the G occasionally and last time i saw him he laughed it off
Crawley have gates of around the 2k mark, they will be busto before the end of the season ,what they are doing is totally unsustainable
