I don't know the actual statistics for this country but lots of sexual assault cases go unreported.

I'm fairly certain that one getting reported a long time after the event is far from unusual.

I am pretty sure that the what happened never came to light to the person it happened to until a number of months after it actually happend.  And the police have been a tad slow getting onto it.  Nothing sinister.

Thread Locked.

I'll still Post what Kev told me, & some other stuff, but I'm not leaving the Thread open so that abuse can be hurled around. It'll be e-opened, I hope, in due course.

Kev sent me a text tonight, & asked me to call him, & eventually I did.

We chatted, very amicably, for 30 to 40 minutes, some of it about specifics, but a lot of it about more general matters in his personal life.

He had a particular concern as to what has been reported, & it's the only thing that he believes is incorrect as to the factul statement by Tighty on Page 15 or so of "Moving On", & my correction of the same Post 2 pages or so later.

Tighty had Posted, at length, his understanding of various convos with Kev.

Tighty Posted, broadly, that

"Kev told me that......

Brendan passed away.

He agreed with the family at the Funeral to withdraw the account balance to expidite payment.

He then withdrew the money."

I then corrected that 2 pages later by saying that either Tighty or Kev must be mistaken, given this sequence.....

Brendan passed away on 16th September 2008.

The money was withdrawn on 23rd September 2008.

The Funeral was on 30th September 2008.

Therefore the two sets of dates were incompatible.

Kev's concern is that he thinks that implies, or that I  implied, that Kev did not have permission to withdraw the money. I assured Kev I never meant, implied, or said that, ever, to anyone. I also assured him that in my various convos with Tom (Brendan's son), Kev's name had never once been mentioned. There is a significant audit trail of e-Mails between Tom & myself, which I'm happy to reproduce if need be, & Kev is not mentioned in any.

Kev wishes to make it clear that he did   have such permission from the family to withdraw the money, & that the date inconsistency is simply a function of (understandable) date confusion.

I told him I was happy to make his view known, & if he was unhappy with what I Posted, he wll ring me & I'll correct if need be.

Kev also freely admits he used the money, but is adamant that it was never his intention to misappropriate it.

He also wishes it known (& fair point this, because I'm not sure it's on any of the threads) that he has since - in the last 3 or 4 days I believe - transferred the money across to Flushy. The offer to refund it to me was made on Sunday or Monday, as I recall, (I'm not 100% on that) via third parties, but as I don't have my Full-Tilt account details to hand (it's lain dormant for 5 years), & it was not exactly top of my list of priorities (quite unlike repaying Tom quickly), I had not dealt with the request, & I was not that fussed, to be honest.

We moved on then, & Kev clearly has some bitterness at the way things have turned out between he & Jane. Everyone can see that, & these things always have two sides to them, so I never really contributed to that part of the convo. I'm afraid "break-up" stories (& I've had a few of my own...) are like other folks holiday snaps - important to them only, & I can't get interested in hearing one side or the other. I don't mean that rudely, but I could listen to either side for hours on end & it would not solve anything. Breaking up is hard to do, always was & will be, & it's rare both sides can agree on whats what. I hope that eventually they settle their differences.

We then wrapped up, & Kev said a few personal things - nice personal things - & that was that. We don't agree with each other, but we wholly understand what made the wheels go round the way they did. He apologised for the grief it caused me, & I said I was sorry if it had been handled awkwardly. Only Kev, of course, along with Jane & Tighty, know the real depth of the backdrop to the tale. I don't, & most blondes don't.

The question I have now Rich is  this. As part of your investigation did you or anyone else request the checking of Kevs data by Jane?

I did not no. As I have said the Brendan issue was raised as a verbal concern to me. After the family had been contacted I then got the data from our former card-room provider

On the Dawn issue, which was her issue not a blonde poker issue, again no request from me.

As tikay was unaware of the Brendan issue until ten days ago, the same answers will apply to him I would think

In short, worrying about Ginge "invading Kev's Privacy", not really my problem TBH. I have no reason to believe she would do that to anyone else and, although I understand some people think it's wrong there are really more worrying things to be concerned about IMO.

The list would be pretty much this;

I agree TK didn't handle the OP brilliantly..no doubt about that IMO. The Brendan thing could and should have been kept private.....but those last two are not really things I'd be concerned about.
Banning Kev makes me feel uncomfortable, but mainly because apparently there are others on blonde, involved with blonde, that also watched the video and kept shtum. Why are they still here?

I did briefly mention this earlier, & asked everyone not to speculate further. Cue the fastest 3 pages of a thread in history, marv.

I never followed the "video story", but I know the broad outline.

24 hours after Tighty delivered the Brendan story to me, I came into pssession, via Tighty, of the now infamous "chat logs". I don't think you'll need me to explain my reaction to them. Several "non-involved" names appear in the logs, quite innocently, not as authors, but just mentioned by name. This is part of the reason why there has been some obfuscation in the threads.

The two matters, coming as they did only 24 hours apart, knocked Tighty & I a bit sideways. They were not shared with any other Mods, at least, not by us. 
 
Late last week - Thursday or Friday I think - I heard that Luton (?) Police had opened a formal "file" or enquiry on the case.

A day or two ago, I heard that it was moving forward (I have no idea what the proposed or alleged charges would be), & yesterday, I heard that one individual had been questioned, & later bailed to return some time in September. The source of most of my information is, obviously, Dawn. I may not be 100% correct, but broadly, I think I've quoted what she told me fairly.

Please remember, nobody has been charged, so guilt must not be assumed.

I also gather that the Police may want to interview all those who watched the video. How they will ascertain that I have no idea. And I don't know, beyond a short list of a few, who watched it.

I have been told that the Police will expect blondepoker to provide contact details of some individuals who may have made, watched, commented on, or distributed it.  If they do, we will.

Boldie's comments as to who watched it, & their reaction, are what they are.

But he then goes on to ask why others who watched it "are still here". (i.e., not Banned). Well I don't know that they are still here, as I don't know who they are, except those in the Chat Logs.

I don't know who watched it, or what their reaction was. We can't assume any reaction by "viewers", except that which is in the chat Logs.

I'm not going to answer Boldie's closing hypotheticals, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Assume the obvious though - we'd do as any sane, decent & reasonable person would.

But remember that watching it with glee & lionising it & the perpretator, is very different to watching it & being appalled. How would anyone know - apart from those in the Chat Log - how recipitents reacted?

Another "not easy" decision upcoming.
