Everything about this whole thing stinks, I can't remember ever having been soo disgusted on various levels about this many things..but I reckon only one person comes out well out of this whole thing TBH and that's Laxie.

That'd be one of the things that pisses me off It's baffling.

They're unrelated incidents though Bold one.

The invasion of Kev's privacy is not suddenly made ok because it happened to unveil another wrong doing by someone else.

If Jane had specifically invaded Kev's privacy because she thought she may be able to find out about this other crime then I could maybe understand but I doubt very much that that's the case.

Maybe I'm wrong though who knows. If she really thought there was evidence of a crime on Kev's pc she should've been handing it over to the police anyway not routing through the hard drive like an amateur P.I.

In my opinion the mod that went through kev's PMs and msn convos should be de-modded. Everyone who communicated with Kev through these means has also had their privacy violated. If I had PM-ed Kev a message of support in the last few weeks, possibly with some personal information in it, I would not be happy right now.

I for one did exactly that.

Why would anybody, NOT in a position of responsibility think they are owed an answer?  I don't.!!  I woud guess your question was seen first time around and, I am guessing that the same reason it never got answered the first time, is the same as the 2nd time.  You certainly cant think you deserve to be answered every question you ask about all of this?

Well first off it's not me that has to address this post really, tikay is in charge of de-modding and modding

However, as I am here...

Yes I had to check out the Brendan case but was doing so from a company viewpoint. At the end of that as I have stated previously I gave an unsolicited opinion that Kev should not be a mod anymore which is a forum issue. Final say is tikay's. If he disagreed with me, his view goes.

With regard to Jane, I may be wrong (happening a lot recently) but I don't think there is a suggestion is there that she has been through PMs on here? No mod, as was explained yesterday, can access PMs. I have no idea if Jane had Kev's forum password. Admins can of course access PMs if they change a member's password but the member would be aware that someone has changed the password and there would be a trail back to the admin.

Anyway, that's not the central point, as we know. The point that is being raised is whether Jane should be a mod. I have said to tikay that I will support any decision made by him on anyone's mod-ship. With particular reference to Jane I gave a view to tikay on this last week but it was probably incorrect to do so. I would think my view expressed then, if this thread is anything to go by, would be a minority view. He does know though all the context in which I gave the opinion, as uncomfortable as it was to go through it. I happen to have been of the view that in attempting to help Dawn resolve her issue that the intention was not of vindictiveness towards Kev. I though am not comfortable or happy that it took accessing another's files to do this, who would be?.  On the Brendan issue the doubt was raised verbally to me and I was not or am not aware that the concern involved any privacy issues.

Now onto personally difficult stuff....

Much of the private "hate mail" (hate mail is the wrong term, but bear with me) tells me that I acted dishonourably, that I acted out of personal priorities and not out of fairness, and that (suppose I had better be blunt) my motivation is to stitch up Kev and hook up with Jane. In part this view will have come from Kev's blog, of course.

In public it has been said that I offered "one eyed" counsel to tikay and that in the past I had got together with Jane when she was still with a work colleague. Both of those suggestions troubled me greatly. The first because I cannot think of a single occasion over five years when I have ever put self interest on this forum ahead of blonde Poker's interest.  This occasion is no different. The second because it is simply untrue.

So the last month has been a rough time by my rather cosseted standards. An issue landed on my desk, not in a manner I would have chosen in the sense that very sensitive knowledge was with third parties. I knew right from the outset that if the issue I was investigating was shown to be true then in sorting that out I risked damage to my personal reputation because I KNEW that the inferences of the last 48 hours would be drawn. Yet I had to investigate knowing that.

Just to conclude, given the complicated background (women!) it is fair to say that Kev and I have a complex relationship. Despite that we managed to have a decent working relationship for three years. We've spoken this afternoon at length on these issues. Apologies have been given and accepted.

If anyone feels I have acted improperly, and I believe Kev no longer does, then PM me or ring me. I am on 07887 987044. No abusive texts though please. Had enough of those.

So back to the issue, de-modding or not? Not up to me. Shouldn't be up to me.

Tikay has always been an advocate of transparency in his dealings as long as I have known him so I feel that it is only reasonable to trust him and to let him explain when he feels that the timing is right.

hi Rich, I think you referenced a post i made that included the phrase knocked off, you have paraphrased it as 'knocked up' which has a lot different meaning. Iy might make sense to alter that unlesss someone did say knocked up and i missed it.

my understanding of the situation, admittedly from Kevs side was that the incident took place when they were still an item, as you mentioned in the pm to me earlier that wasnt the case so I have to apologise to you for that but I am sure you can see why others would think the same given the 'info' was one sided.

On a well know forum I use (SA) they have a thread on the main boards, it details who is banned, for how long and why..This would be a great idea it might stop all the same bring back X posts if they knew what low life had done.
