delighted with my decision to go to bed at tea

what do we do now? I'd like to see us just declare overnight, we can't lose the test from here. got a feeling we're gonna bat for 1/2 hour though

I reckon it might depends what the conditions are like, but readless I would declare now and get straight into them. Hopefully Jimmy might get the ball to swing early in the morning.

Having lost a session and with the forecast unsettled you have to declare now, on the assumption more time will be lost. Could be ok bowling conditions too, and North was spinning it square yesterday.

I'd bat for a ball and then declare just to piss Ponting off.

Pretty sure I would be pissed off than Ricky if this happened.

Great plan bongo. We lose a couple of overs for the change of innings, then it rains a bit and the match finishes with us 1 run short. That's why you weren't captain in leeds

Meh no decleration yet, have just looked at the forecast for tomorrow and it looks horrid.

Think we should gamble a bit here (not that it is that much of a gamble).

Odd. They know that there might be little play tomorrow, they might need to bowl them out today, so why bat on?

Duuno I think they should declare, as they are in they should swing away for 30 mins max

This all seems very pointless.

Given the fact that there is a horrid forecast, Australia are very unlikely to get that far ahead given that if they bat well. If there is zero rain and they set us say 150 (that is about the max) against this attack on this pitch we would massive faves to chase that easy.

Be nice to get to 600 though now, it's a psychological barrier maybe.
