Would be sick if he came back, obviously I wouldn't want him to do well but then it would be awfulsome if he was rubbish.

I reckon Warney is the reason the price for a return has dropped, been lumping on his life savings imo............ Grin

warne to play in this series has been backed from 16/1 to 6/1

I've played poker with Shane Warne.

He never mentioned anything to me about a comeback.

Did he mention anything about who the next Wales manager might be?

No.

But, funnily enough, I think he did say he thought Ken Bates was a wanker.

This. Obviously a fantastic cricketer and seems like a good bloke too. For an Aussie obv.

Wouldn't want him to return as the morale-boosting effect he could have shouldn't be underestimated.

nope

"Beer's inclusion is the biggest stunner since Peter "Who" Taylor was given a baggy green cap against England in 1986-87, Sydney Morning Herald

Steve Smith to to maybe bat at 6.

Some odd decisions, looking like English Cricket selectors 1980-2005

I loved the story about when England gave a cap to Darren Pattinson (11 first class matches) against SA a couple of years ago. The SA players asked their bowling coach if he had any videos of him bowling for them to study.

He said 'Videos? I can't even find him on Cricinfo.' (He was listed as an Australian).

Quote
Slip inside Ricky Ponting’s mind
He’s trying to find
Some new players to play

He wants to play his older team
But that’s just a dream
They’re too old to play

He said he’d start a revolution in his head
But he’s been through all the players A to Z
Now there’s just a summertime of doom
If he loses the Ashes race
He is going to lose his place
Losing three would simply tear his heart out

So Ricky can wait
Shane Warne is too late
And there’s no Glenn McGrath
Gilchrist’s had his day
And don’t look back to Langer
He cannot play

Have to love the Barmy Army
