bet flop and turn a lot bigger, as played if he's 1/2 decent i expect to see v few bluffs. this deep jam is best, esp if its your regular game.

+1. Id defo raise pre ib more inclinded to make it £30 if he peels wide and folds flops a lot we want hin calling off as much as possible pre imo
also you have a really good hand lol. Barrel flop, Barrel turn for me.

As played like brammar says I call cos i literally hate folding, espcially live when they rep such thin value amd they probably doint VB half as thinly as they should. Having said this its probably one of those spots where you cant figure out exactly how he got you, with what hand, or where in the hand, but you know he has a better hand somehow....

Raise pre is bad.  The way this hand went down you have to call the river, the hand does not make sense for him unless he has precisely J9hh

I have to disagree with anti-raising pre comments, I actually think checking this back in the straddle is a mistake.

but raisaing 10x blinds seems to be inflating the pot abit too much. What would people recommend as a good raise size in the straddle after a btn limp and bb "complete".

its completely different imo.  The situation here is that you a weak passive player limping, and another player repping zero stregnth, your hand flops extremely well and your in a perfect spot to squeeze. ALSO its a good to be seen as fairly LAG from your straddle because these pots are always going to be bigger.

Basically you're ISO'ing the weak passive guy, so you need to raise bigger.....and i cant believe the BB folded what a nit lol

Straddle raising is very different to big blind raising
Also there is one less person in your second scenario
I would make it $20 probs there

I call as I don't think he's good enough to be value betting thin enough to make it a fold. And if he was he wouldn't be betting as much. he Mucked. Spoke to his this weekend and he said he had a straight and a flush draw.  Almost identical hand played out against same villain this weekend and he went to bluff the river then just sigh and Mucked lol...
