In terms of the most overrated player in the world it will nearly always be the actual best player in the world simply due to human characteristics and the common nature to overrate the best of a field. Same thing applies to the most underrated player in the world will probably be the worst player in the world.
So most overrated Lionel Messi. Even though he is amazing.
Obv realise that wasnt thread title. Just saying after Rooney was mentioned as overrated.

Past few seasons Zoltan Gera has always impressed me, even when he was at West Brom he was on a different level.
I also rate Stephen Ireland and Marc Noble in regards to unfashionable midfielders.
