My sister texted in a vote for Journey South, on telly it said that all calls would be charged 35p on top of normal charges, she checked her credit after voting and they had only charged her 10p, so she sent in 4 more votes. At 4am she got a text and thinking it was urgent she dived out of bed only to read "Thank you for your vote on X factor". This happened another 2 times so she switched her phone off. In the morning when she switched her phone on there were 9 more texts saying thank you. Well, this went on for days and each time she was charged 35p, a total of 32 texts (so far) and no way of stopping them. Did anyone else get caught out with this scam?

Yes I think she is going to do that coz she cant be the only one thats been conned. Reminds me of when I first signed up to the net. I went with freeserve and reged with card details etc but could not get online at all, god knows how many phone calls to BT, freeserve @ £1.50 a minute etc, in the end I gave up...I was being charged £9.99 a month for a service I wasnt getting and no way of stopping the payments going out. I was on the verge of having to close my bank account (after 6 months) and miraculously got a phone call from someone at BT saying the complaints were so high that he had been employed to sort it out and god bless him he did. He managed to sort out the payment stop and got me 3 months refund so a big  thumbs up to BT. Im in the middle of a fraud investigation at the mo though where money has been taken out of my account by some god knows what site...will it ever end Angry

for a major national tv program to do this is very out of order.  if it was some dodgy ringtone site then you'd expect it but perhaps not from ITV.

My guess is it's some form of "glitch".

I'd try ringing ITV or whoever first and see if they can help you.

Journey South are BRILLIANT!!! They were my favorite too. I would have voted for them but I prefer to donate my money to poker  Cheesy

Got to admit though if I had had a bet my money would have been on Maria, a very talented young lady who I am sure we have not heard the last of.

Suzanne, how is your poker form? You were having  rough time a few days back, & seemed a bit "down" about it. Any better?

Thanks for asking Tikey, it has got slightly better. I have played a few freerolls, 2 more 2nd (that makes 7 now...sigh), but I have that winning post firmly in my sight. I have also been playing small stake cash as I needed to build up some action points and surprisingly I have been doing rather well so maybe this is where I should be playing. So yes, the poker world is looking rosy again
