So on Thursday a huge truck/van will come to or house. We will go in it with all of our hogs and our 3 dogs and drive for 10 hours, we will stop at a motel for a night and then drive for another 10 hours and then we will be 'home'
For sonebody to drive 20 hours, then drive back and to pay for us all for a hotel and all of the petrol/road fees how much would you expect it to be?
Done a few similar length trips for work in 3.5t with tail lift.
Estimates
4 day van hire €150
8 tanks petrol €720
2 motel rooms €150
Road tolls €120 (no idea what tolls are like over there but that's roughly what we paid Notts-Hannover, think France roads are expensive though)
If its a mate I'm doing it if he covers costs and dinners and beers
If it was for someone i didn't know then its four days pretty shitty work so I probs want €1k
Hope that helps a bit

Hey mate,
Yeh the thing is they have to drive to us initially aswell, so a big fkn grind for them, it cost us around 1.9k, which, with 3 dogs, I felt was ok.

Feels expensive at first but when you break it down that's probably quite reasonable

Massively inspiring blogging this last few pages Patrick. Huge good luck to you in Hungary and with all of your goals.
Most of what you write goes way over my head, as a SSMTT serious rec. The enthusiasm for the challenge ahead that comes across in your writing does not.

Hey mate! Thanks, I mean SSMTT's are still great, I was reading a well on P5's from a guy yesterday from about 3 years ago. He was playing $145abi and he said "funny to think 6 months ago I couldnt beat $5 MTT's, thanks to XYZ who helped me. With the SSMTT's they seem like a huge fkn grind, but you can get a v big score and give your bankroll good protection.

It's totally a compliment - unbridled optimism and a desire to self-improvement is to be commended.

Pleno, the story goes that Oscar Wilde was found by a fellow member of the higher society lying in the road after a long night on the lash.
She cried "Oscar! You're in the gutter!"
He replied "We are ALL in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars"

Very best of Luck in Hungary Patrick. I have been reading your dairy and HH for a long time now, never met you in person until the Super50 during the MonteCarlo weekend where we were in the same table during the bubble ( I was the guy with AA when you check folded 99 from your BB on JQx flop).

I am sure you will crush whatever you do and will be sure to let you know when we are in Bratislava and can meet up maybe here for a meal overlooking the Danube

As you will have realised by now, we landed.
Huge huge grind to get here, but nice to be here. Obviously don't speak a word of Hungarian so its very hard, but everybody is extremely nice. We agreed on an apartment earlier and will move on Monday after we've furnished it.
Watching Newcastle now, one timeeeeee.

Hey pads,
Just wanted to say good luck with this new chapter in your life mate. I hope you get a lot out of the experience, and things go your way.
I'm finishing my exams this month, so hopefully we get the chance to catch up soon (whether it be in UK, Vegas, or somewhere else!)
