Your blog has taken a real inspirational turn over the past few weeks bro. VWP

It also seems like you have burst into a new level of skill/understanding. Can you pin point anything in particular that has helped?

No disrepect ofc, but to go from a midstakes microgaming player (which obv are by no means easy), to smashing the toughest games in poker these days, that's a huge step.

VPPs Today 9.5k
VPPs Total 126.6
VPPs Pace 112k
Bacardi Breezer Daily Tota 2
Bacardi Breezer Monthly Total 16

BOOM!

What a day of grinding, Mondays are usually not spectacular and infact action is so slow some regs always take Mondays off. However I decided to grind after sleeping in late. After 5k hands I was down more than any other point this year, but grinded, grinded, grinded and 11k hands total for the day which is maximum Ive done 6 tabling and 9k vpps which is the most Ive ever made in a day and we ended up with a profit and can pat outselves on the back. Basically just grinded for 8 hours without any breaks in the toughest game online right now (1k zoom) and felt tilted at times, felt happy at times but mostly stayed in the zone and grinded very hard. Really happy with it and glad that Im a little further ahead of pace than I was yesterday.

Before grinding I had a nice walk with my dogs and went for a meal.

Extra portion of potatoes OBV!

Tomorrow is a really busy day, have to pick a sofa up in the morning at 10am, its 4am now fml, then do some stuff for the landlord, possibly grind a little bit, have a football match at night so VPPs dont look very likely tomorrow.

GN all.

Yo Callum.

I think I just manned up a little bit. I never really played huge huge volume, I always thought I had a good and decent game and as you know from Gib always did well on Microgaming and had a decent win rate but my Stars results were actually pretty bad, probably breakeven or small loser for 100k hands. I think since I moved to Hungary from Gibraltar and stopped working full time it gave me the freedom to play more, study more and play when I wanted to play rather than in a small time frame that I had due to time constraints. I strongly think that learning comes from experience and thus playing, from playing zoom it allows me to play a lot of volume and thus I am continuously learning which is really important. I think I learn something new in poker every day, not always because something happens, but because I want it to happen. I try different lines, I watch others and become curious about their lines, I speak to friends every day about poker and am surrounded by poker players.

I actually wrote a post yesterday about "being the best in the business" its something that Im really unsure of, I have said YES I want to be the best player in the fields I play, but I think thats just normal right? Who doesnt try to be the best in their games? If you dont then you are just being lazy, instead I just want to be the best player I can be, if on December 31st I have 1m VPPs and another 100k in profit I know I will be very happy and will be able to be proud of myself. Right now I have done OK, I am around 10% of the way there, thats absolutely nothing! I need to ensure that I am self critical at all times and make sure all mental leaks are as solid as they can be otherwise this good start will be just that, a good start. Its about how you finish rather than how you start a race and this is definitely a marathon, not a sprint.

It is on one of those hot rocks where you can continue to cook the steak to your liking.

Uncooked steak for the win though with a little rock salt....
