From next month, things will change pretty drastically. I will post ITT about IRL probably next week or over the weekend.

Poker wise, I will be grinding more, and will be devoting a lot of times to MTT's. I decided I will most likely join a staking team/stable for MTT's as I think its the wisest thing to do financially as I'm aware of MTT variance. I won't be using it as an excuse to play HSMTTs and will be very sensible doing a HH review every day and playing a lot of satalites. I've sent a few PM's around on 2p2 and speaking to some good guys.

I will continue playing cash games as well in the "day" and focusing more on MTT's in the evening.

I posted about 8 months ago about wanting to be a big MTT grinder and really challenging myself, I'm really looking forward to the challenge and have a lot of ambitious aspirations. I have heard from friends that are MTT players that they are v lazy, don't study much and just grind themselves into huge makeup. I will be very professional about everything and ensure that I game select stupidly well.

IRL stuff next..

its both innit, will be playing cash games regularly too. The end goal would be game selecting HSCGs and grinding HSMTT's. Whilst I will likely not start playing HSMTT's I will likely be playing MSMTT's +.

Don't you have a full time job/a hot girlfriend/some cool dogs/money???

Why, if you had these things would you possibly take up grinding online MTTs!

Wow Pleno,,

You are changing direction again!!!

you are ultra successful at what you do. You won IN EXCESS of £200,000 in 2012. Followed by $36,000 in January this year (god knows how much since then!) and now you want to torture yourself playin MTTs

It don't make sense!!!

People need to understand things a little bit. It's 6am bit I'll cliff note

- poker industry not brilliant shape, nt going to be here forever
- cash games already suffering
   - huge bumhunting
   - less fish at mid stakes +
   - party segregating regs from fish
   - stars almost monopolising market
   - stars games are v bad
   - cash game players play v good and close to gto
   - other sites simply not doing any marketing

- one area that is booming is MTTs
- looks like for foreseeable future there will ways be MTTs available
- lots of money goes into MTT marketing
- MTT regs are generally v bad, some good but mostly have lots of leaks
- cash game regs Probably spend upto 10x longer studying and improving

A lot f poker comes down to pyschology, there is a lot more variance in MTTs meaning that pyschology both plays a bigger part and is going to be harder to manage

- I have a good life balance so pyschology should be easier to manage fr me vs the average MTT reg compared to the average cg reg

This is not a huge change abyway I've spoken a lot on this diary about the desire to play MTTs. I poste something not too log ago about wanting to battle the top of the uk in the p5s leader boards and real become the bitb :p

I will ofc stay playing cash games too of I can get the lt playing cash games and MTTs then it means I likely don't get burned out, if I do herded up of cgs then I can grind MTTs more and likewise the other way round. Becoming an all round player than it ready to adjust and change depending on how the industry changes in the next 3 years is important ad helps keep me a step ahead.

Ive thought a lot about these things and they aren't just instinctive. I also have to think about happiness ev and I love playing MTTs. Cgs can feel like a grind to me but like I say in 4 months I may think the opposite and grind cgs alot more than MTTs. Anyway moving forward l be playing more hands of cf than I have do e previously so it's all cool.

Update this evening on irl stuff..

I agree with your first point actually.

I'm not so sure about cash games tho, I mean there will always be sharks, but even high stakes cgs, there are some very poor play, seems like a lot of players with very big bankrolls. It's weird actually, cos Id say .25/.50 is nittier than .50/.1 and 3/6, seems to be nittier than 5/10.. I think in all games of poker, there are still plenty of over aggro button clickers just rofl with too much money tbh.

I personally think it's great u want to become an all rounded player, and have consistent profits in both cash and mtts. I also admire the fact, u are lookin for new challenges, I.E, pocket 5's leader boards etc to keep the hungar there and help drive u forward for the better.

you really do #lovethegame and as a result, I #lovethepleno

I think it's reasonable to say you've "beaten" mid-stakes cash games - proven you're a winner so props to that, if your desire is to now prove you're a winner in other areas then fair play, I wish you the bestest of fortune and knowing you you'll very likely do it as well.

BITB innit, jealous.

What word have you misspelt here please? I've narrowed it down to two but the implications of each are rather different.....?!

wacky whorehouse? as a concept I don't think I could love it more.

All the girls have pink or blue hair and lip piercings, you get to do it in hammocks listening to daft punk.

5ft 5+ only though, ul pleno, thankfully I've just scraped in.

Oh, everything 2-4-1 as well. and there will be somewhere for the kids. You MUST try the lasagne, top notch.

PATENT PENDING.
