Im not one of these OMG YOU HAVENT DONE WAAAAAT? people if you dont wanna eat stuff don't eat it imo...

HOWEVER. I must beg you, as a friend, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't leave this earth without at least TRYING a bacon sandwich... take three bites and i'll donate £100 to chairty.

I enjoy trying new food but some people aren't that into it so it's just one of those each to their own things.

Bacon though, once youve added it into the arsenal is a serious life changer.

I am one of these OMG YOU HAVENT DONE WHATTTTTT when it comes to

Bacon
Red Sauce
Brown Sauce
Any Sauce
Cheese Cake
Coffee
Tea
Hot Chocolate
Cheese (outside of Pizza)
Pasta (outside of spag bol)
Any pizza (outside of Margarita)
Olives
Pickles
Gherkins
Letuce
Salad of any variety

Does seem unreal to me, im a skinny fat young man as you've seen me who east far too much at the wrong hours for the last two years. Absolutely mind boggling that you havent had any of the above apart from coffee, can't stand it but could easily drink 10 red bulls in a day.

Food and drink i feel is a common thing young successful poker players must spend money on that other normal folk won't or cant but then £10k a year on plain steak is quite a lot

Does the thought of the stuff on the list repulse you?

It doesnt repulse me, it just doesnt appeal to me.

Ive been to some really nice restuarants serving amazing local cuisine but nothing makes me more happy than some really lean, tasty meat. I will go with 5 friends and they will be like come on you have too taste x ,z , y but it really tilts me. You eat what you want and Ill eat what I want.

Also never had curry.

In case it hasn't been said that's an utterly bizarre list of foods never to have tried. Sorta shocked!

Interesting 1st topic. I am not racist or sexist ageist etc but more than this i dislike reverse racism and reverse sexism etc. Everyone is different and it should be aknowledged. Women should be able to do the same jobs as men but they should have to pass the same tests etc, People of all ethnic standings should have equal opportunities but should not have extra opportunities. My friend went to marines recruitment and was told if he wanted to apply for the officer training he would likely be successful because he was black and they had to try and encourage more people from diffrent back grounds etc. How can this be fair. if he is good enough he is good enough regardless of his colour.

Another friend was a firefighter and the only person who did not have a supprot group was the straight white male. It grips my shit when people/government/powers that be interefere and instigate rules regulations for the sake of it. On an application form it will often ask to state ethnic status / beliefs / sex etc in the interest of equal opportunities, if it was truly equal opportunities why do they need to know it should be left totally blank and  anonomous and then judged purely on the important and relevant info. ....... rant over ... peace

Positive discrimination is not fair, you're right. However, it's less unfair than that which preceded it - centuries, millenia, of white males forcing everyone else to submit to their will and accept lower standards of living. The idea behind positive discrimination is to artificially progress things to a better place. That's inevitably going to upset people along the way but that's the price of equality.

I used to be a fussy eater until I was 25, I have two mates who are really fussy and on a par with yourself.

It changed for me when I met my missus. I wanted to take her to nice resteraunts and that sometimes didnt mean burger and chips. I eased my way in, baby steps, where I just guaranteed there was at least one dish on every type of menu I liked. From there I got more adventurous and now I can pretty much eat anything, only real no nos are mushrooms or very potent onions.

I can tell you it's an amazing feeling. It's liberating, you really do feel free after being so restricted. Not only am I not scared at opening a menu, it's opened new doors of appreciation for food like sushi which is a pure joy.

I know what it's like to have a weird sense of pressure from friends and family to eat more varied stuff, and that only makes the issue seem more daunting. It's worth pushing through it.

More importantly, I can tell you the next thing from experience and also the experience of my two mates. She may not say it, but there will have been, or there will be in the future, times  where fussy eating has embarrassed your girlfriend. Women love the whole ritual and ceremony of going out for posh meals and having to in any way impede that will at times cause embarrassment. We once went out to a fancy resteraunt as a group, with swordfish and lobster and champgane and the like, we got really dressed up, and my mate just had a plate of chips. His wife was MORTIFIED, it was a real incentive for me to broaden my palette.

Do it for yourself. It's liberating and there are so many great foody pleasures out there. Do it one bite at a time, baby steps.

But also do it for your missus. They want to go for a meal with James Bond, not a kid who gets fed by the food on the end of a pretend areoplane.

And James Bond eats fucking bacon sandwiches and drinks tea. Eat a fucking bacon sandwich and drink a cup of tea FFS.

Eating food is a favourite pastime of mine, as is cooking and dining with friends. You seem to be missing it and if that's because you don't like it that's fine, but please don't be unnecessarily stubborn. I think the point about your missus is important. Social dining is beautiful. It was brutal for me on holiday once when my girlfriend didn't like fish, the quaint fishing village whilst lovely wasn't quite the right spot.

Eat some bloody bacon! Its the best. Not sure how you have resisted the smell all these years. What do you eat for breakfast?

I mean if we go somewhere I usually just have the most expensive meat on the menu, duck or whatever else.

It's difficult with her mother though her mother though. Se cooks 24/7 such a great woman and brings food all the time. We go over for dinner and at first I tried the Hungarian food a little bit by it was just evident that I didn't like it. So now she always cooks me chicken and chips separately to everybody else Whih while in grateful I do feel a little bit embarrassed.

Today's topic later... My paralysed dog...

Before I came to gib I didn't even really know much about steak really. Ofc I knew it and had on average every couple of weeks but didn't know how I liked it.

For the first couple of weeks I'd guess I had it medium, for he next 2/3 months medium rare and now just rare. Fillet steak.

Really? I'm no expert, but I thought conventional wisdom said eating a diet high in red meat increases the risks for various diseases. Also does meat contain much calcium for bones? Don't think it does.....
