Last year I went back to Bermuda & met up with my 'twin' Dimitri Bradley (we were born the same day & our mums were in beds next to each other in hospital.

Dimitri's Mum & Dad were very much into Black Power & quite radical, so they named him after the famous Black Russian leader... my Dad nearly died laughing when they told him & they wouldn't believe him that the Black Russians were a political party, not coloured. I think my Dad was the only white guy who could have got away with telling them that.

I just found this thread, and i am so late in doing this but here goes.

My dad idolised paul newman and he wanted me to be named Newman McAllister ( I know ) However My grandfather did manage to talk some sense in to him, When I was born he said i had the same colour of eyes of Paul Newman, so his nickname for me was Newmanseye.

Kinda soppy but thats where it comes from.

so who was that cartoon character you had as your avatar?

And will someone tell us about those nicknames mikkyt mentioned.

The cartoon character is TJ from recess a kids cartoon on the disney channel, and apparently when i wear my cap backwards I look like him.

The other names are just Mikky trying to be funny and rename people. none of which have ever stuck except in Mikky's head.

No Again you get it wrong Mikky, what is said is " Billy you Bass**** , you have taken all my money again!! "  usually after I have relieved them of all chips in the cash game. That selective hearing for yours needs checking.
