sometimes better val elsewhere so if they dont lay the price we have to swallow the place loss for a much bigger price but most of the time ok, i am sure if he keeps winning they will soon stop the 6 places but are happy to price match as 5/6 firms locally so they want the biz at the mo

Lol. He seemed a most interesting Gentleman, & I much enjoyed his company on Saturday. I wish I'd known of his golf interst before he exited, I'd like to have chatted about it. Maybe next time.
Despite the sad lack of runners, I thoroughly enjoyed the evening, more for the craic than anything else. I'd deffo do it again.

Yeah its a shame really as they just dont get any runners for mini festivals there anymore, after the Brighton boys came up a few times for a £500 and 15 runners along with D Lloyd and Albert but never anymore. Dont worry i shall get a T shirt printed with your face on and the "I was Tikay's yearly bluff victim" and wear it when i see you.
"The Judge" is an old school grinder in local comps probably wins the quarterly league tables 3 out of 4 but never wins many comps its always min cashes but then grinds a living on golf /poker/ football and occasionally working on the rail. Dont you find it strange when you travel around as that used to be one of my local card rooms when 3x the bb used to be the standard raise and now i travel around and play diff events it is just so 2006 and yet most of the players there dont seem to have moved on except the agro kid to my left who was mildly looser than me.

i've not looked yet. but i'm thinking that most of the top players have peaked already so looking for big prices this week especially in america where it should be absolutely wide open due to the shorter course. People who had decent weekend runs last week without really challenging would appeal i think.

Oddly, he got tighter & more passive as the Tourney entered the later stages. But you would not have noticed, as you were busto by then.......
Anyway, I'm hi-jacking your Golf Thread, so I had better move on.
PS - Making it a 1 dayer worked out nice for me, as I also won the Luton £100 on Sunday. Nice weekend!

100% not wrong.
Not every day you see a 14 runner Tourney chopped 4 ways, now is it?
Whereas on Sunday, it was a 50 runner affair, so 6 of us chopped that, though I got the most money.

Feel free to post your horses for a weekend sweat and if Ace/Karabiner/Nico or Major Major fancy starting next year with a theoretical bank we could have a season long prop bet on points profit (rules to be agreed) for interest?
I'll give Dick Waver a call, I'm sure he'll be up for it.

Nice result mate, managed a small profit in the pga comp due to crane winning. Might be up 4 that prop bet next year.
