WSOP-E, despite early doubts, continues to gain momentum & credibility.

Dealers and floorstaff cannot be faulted.

But please please please move it away from the hellhole of the Empire. Worst place in London to play poker.

Food awful, no space, noisym temp varies wildly between freezing and blood boiling hot, tolilets digusting (except a secret one I've found which I'm telling noone about.).

And you have to pay £2.50 for a bowl of peanuts.

Just move it to a big hotel please.

Yes, I might have wisely added "if only it were at a decent Venue". It really is so very wrong for such an Event, but we have to face reality, Harrahs own the WSOP, & LCI, who in turn own The Empire. To a degree, we cannot expect it to be anywhere EXCEPT a Harrahs/LCI Venue.

The fact is, players moan about venues, & stolen Reg Fees (I do not refer to WSOP-E!), & this & that, sometimes the other, too, but it does not deter them from playing the Events. And as long as they do, then nothing will change.

Give players the best venue on earth, & great value, added value even, & there will still be complaints. It's the nature of things.

Notwithstanding all that, the WSOP-E IS gaining credibility & momentum, & I hope it continues so to do. Numbers this year were once again very good - the High-Roller numbers were staggering given the venue! - but it makes the point. The players are turning up in good numbers, so the Venue is fit for purpose.

When all is said & done, a London WSOP-E is better than a Paris (or Barca, or wherever) based WSOP-E, surely?  That's the reality, & I want it to stay in the UK.

You'd think that people would turn up on time for the bubble round in a £10,000 tournament - but there's always someone whose alarm fails to go off, isn't there?

Two lucky gentlemen who get to steal their absent opponent's blinds exactly once a minute are Neil Channing who is waiting for the absent Chris Moorman, and Huck Seed, who is meant to be playing Ilari Sahamies right now.

Its pretty inexcusable that Moorman can be late for two day twos of bracelet events where he was in great shape - was he playing the WCOOPs last night?

lol

Guy at the wsop heads up this year turned up over an hour late for his match.

On arriving, when he found out the reason he was late his opponent raised blind the amount he'd won by anteing the other guy away and then folded to his shove without ever looking at his cards.

The most spectacular piece of good sportsmanship I've ever seen at a poker table.

sorry keith!

Huck Seed has taken care of Ilari Sahamies after a pre-flop raising war saw them all-in. Sahamies opened with a raise and then moved all-in for 85,400 when Seed three-bet him. Seed asked for a count but said he was probably going to call. He got the count and called saying he was gambling.

Sahamies:

Seed:

Seed was in way better shape than he thought and stayed there through the  board.

I had no idea, but I doubt 500k is that much to ziggy anyways.

I still think he's a good fav over Huck long term heads up with deep stacks.
