I've been driving up an down the A2 in Germany for the past 3 or 4 years now. What always catches my eye is some bridge graffiti saying "Revo Taps - Never Change a Winning Team".

I thought it odd. I new Bill Shankly had said it; I kinda wrote it off as maybe a German coach imitating him. But as I racked my brains I knew I'd never heard of Revo Taps...and my footy knowledge, although not quite as good as it used to be, is pretty good...

I always meant to check or investigate...but I always forgot!!

Well today for some reason I remembered. I did a bit of googling and came across this page:

http://www.aamof.de/61/revotaps/

I apologise as it is in German, but if u use Google chrome then it will translate the page for u...

Well it seems quite a few people in the region have had similar thoughts as me. They also have meant to investigate but never got round to it!!!!!

Have you had something similar happen??? Something u always meant to check out, but never got round to doing so??

And who is the mysterious Revo Taps....

Thanks Woodsey, I was thinking about this only yesterday. I was on the M40 yesterday and thought I haven't seen a "Gouranga" for years. I never did know what it meant.

when I was a kid there was a bit of graffiti on a bridge near where I lived that said 'close club row'.  I always found it puzzling and nonsensical, right up until this morning, especially with the words 'close' and 'row' being ambiguous.  After some googling just now I am finally enlightened.

edit: meh link doesn't work.  anyway, apparently club row was an animal testing establishment and there was a campaign by anti vivisectionists in 81-83 to get the place shut down.

when I worked in chalk farm there was a bit of graffiti opposite our local that read 'blair kills babies'. I've just googled and there's no evidence that this is true

From my experience 'There's no evidence that this is true' never bothered Blair so I wouldn't let it stand in your way.

I think this refers to Lionel Blair.  A baby killer if ever I saw one.
