Slap them all in. He could have a made flush, or made his straight on the turn, but we're heads up. If he hits that huge a hand against your 2 pair here, I don't see how you can get away from it with 2k left and nearly 5k in the pot already.
You'll have to really call if he bets, there's many possible holdings of his than you can beat. You gotta get the money in first, if he's still on a draw it's always better to be the bettor.

Mathburg: shows [ ] (a straight, Seven to Jack)
Mathburg collected 9240 from pot

We are going to outplay this guy post flop and avoid big pots, so we stick in 10% of our stack pre flop out of position calling with T2

Once you are on the turn i think you have to push

How to tell when a hand analysis question is really just a bad beat story in disguise.

1. The desicion is a no-brainer.

2. It all goes Pete Tong on the river.

3. Ironside posted it.

If you are confident in your ability to outplay someone post flop then it's not a bad thing to call 9.5% of your stack to see a flop with any 2 cards. My definition of 'outplay' in this context, is to nick all the pots he doesn't seem to want, it's not about your cards here.

correct as most pots would be raised preflop so i would rarely see a pot for less than 10% of my stack preflop

This strategy is fine in principle. But your stack is only 23 big blinds, which makes it impossible to achieve both aims of seeing as many pots as possible and keeping them small,  particularly when you are outchipped 2 to 1.

Edit: Which is just another way of saying what Royal Flush said
