My mate's cat walked across his Acer laptop keyboard and cleverly pressed a key combination which made his screen orientation flip so it's now upside down. It doesn't appear to be Fn key combination. Re-booting doesn't cure it. Does anyone know the solution?

Have you tried re-booting the cat?

Which arrow key Bongo? I've just tried various combos on *my* Acer and it didn't do anything. I'll get my mate to try it though.

it won't work on all machines, think it's graphic card dependent but presumably will work on his one seeing as it's already upside down

You'd appear to be right Gatso as it's worked on my mate's PC.

Thanks Bongo.

And Red, don't tempt me! This is the cat that wakes me regularly making a strange, strangled, 'yarking' noise; the cat that my mate (lodger) insists needs a night light leaving on for her. FML.

Clumsy typing in the dark has turned what use to be the sterling sign into this #.  Test !@#$%^&*()_+  Apparently the thingy over the 2 has gone wonky as well.  What magical button pushing fixes this?

talking of acer laptops.
The key that really gets on my tits with mine is accidentally zooming a web page in and out whilst try to scroll.

I know i can fix it with fn and up or down but i just find it a real annoyance.

You've set your keyboard to American. Have you got a little square in your taskbar with EN on it? Click that to select English UK. If not, Control panel, Regional and Language Options will have stuff for this.

Not sure what the keyboard shortcut is, sorry.

ctrl + scroll does it. ctrl + 0 resets it
