I agree Adam.

I only made the suggestion because it's such a close race.

yes mate, It was me that suggested a second vote in the first place. I usually play UB or Laddies. I have a stars account I rarely use and have set up a betfair account specificaly because of the voting so far So I'm pretty happy to go with whatever the second vote shows. I've never been happy with VC, mainly because of the old gang / collusion thing being talked about on forums alot when I was a new player and it's kinda stuck so I would be uncomfortable with a VC win but as it's a distant 4th I dont think that's be a problem.

Guys, my take on this is that we could put up poll after poll after poll...what we REALLY need to decide is .... Do we just want a low cost friendly game of poker which would suit every member of this forums pockets (which I am 100% in favour of) or are we looking too deep into it regarding which site/structure etc etc ...this isnt about the money, its about bragging rights/friendly rivalry and if we can make a few coppers for P4C along the way then all the better. If say Tikay or Ironside had arranged a $10 tourny on say PokerStars, and said "right this is what we have done, all those that want to join it is on "date" "time" and 10% of all the take is going to P4C, and the site is donating all the rake, It is an exclusive tourny for registered members of this site and if you are up for it please be there", It would have been far better in my humble opinion ...( and remember , everyones opinion is valid here , even mine Smiley.)
I say lets not lose ourslves in too much red tape, lets just get a tourny organised that we can run each week/fortnight/month that everyone can afford and let the FUN begin.

I agree largely with that. we've narrowed it down to two main favourites. I would be happy with a game on either. As it's not really about the money though, I think that makes the structure MORE important. I want to enjoy my game after all. poll after poll may still be necassary to decide on stake and times though. perhaps just a couple of days on each poll though.

the reason we need a second poll Dave is that we want as many people in our community to be happy with the decision as possible. I don't think democracy need necassarily be taken to it's extreme though. if we have a second vote between the top four and there is no CLEAR winner Tikay should pick one based on the structure. if, like in the vote above there's only 1 vote between stars and Crypto but Tikay decides to go with stars, thats ok.

i just think the vote should stand

1/ the crypto has 10 different site to play on, giving everyone, 10 different chioces(this should be reason enough)

2/ We have a Blondite who works for them, who as already posted saying , any structure / Clock / buy-in we want, he can get set up for us!

If george bush can control the world with one vote, im sure we can play crypto with one vote!

im free most nights (midweek) apart from wednesday!! so:

Monday, Tuesday, thursday, or Sunday would be ideal for me.

Buy in - wouldn't mind anything up too 20 / 30

Structure - i think Ruru should set it up to start with 2000 chips as opposed to the standard 1000.

Clock - 30 mins!

debate please?

My suggestion

Crypto

No running ante

2000 chips, 30 minute clock

Buy in's up to 50

10% off prize pool to P4C

Of the remaining 90% Payouts to top 5...flattish structure 35%/25%/15%/10%/5%

Tuesday best for me, but any other midweek night possible. Not Friday/Saturday.

Start time not before 8.30pm UK time

that sounds pretty good.

Nights for me, Tuesday ideally, if not thursday or sunday. Please not Monday
buyins, 10 or 20.
50 is too much for me at the minute
prize structure seems about right.
2000 / 30 min clock
earlier than 8.30 is ok for me but I dont mind 9pm for tightend to make it

Why can't the site pay part or all the rake to charity?
I don't mind charities, i just like to choose my own.
I know this sounds bad but i have my own policy as regards charities and i would much prefer to have the choice of which one to donate to.

I understand that but I think 10% off the top, particularly if matched by the rake is a good idea and, if you feel P4C is not a charity you feel you can support you are, of course, free not to play.

The point is for all to play surely??
If i prefer to choose a charity of my own liking why should i be excluded?
Charity is charity after all.

perhaps ruru/betfair can help with regards the rake?

I wouldn't like the charity issue, or any other disagreement for that matter, to stop anyone wanting to play in an event which should be a lot of fun and is, I would think, about bragging rights/ribbing as much as any  involved.

Let's not get het up about the charity thing. If we want to help P4C, then we can do so in our own way, no need to make this an issue here. Keep it simple, it's been hard enough to decide on a site so far. We will end up with polls for which charity then a poll for how much then a poll.... you know what I mean.

All we need is a fun game, good structure for a few quid and a fair amount of ribbing to make the bragging rights the most valuable of all Shocked)
