I think this might be really annoying of me, but I reckon that "annoys" is correct as it refers to the gerund "posting" rather than to the people. Though it should arguably technically be "people's" in this case. Unless you're going down the fused participle route of course... (In which case Fowler would find you very annoying indeed).

They're a tough crowd on here, If you want them to accept something, you have to have the courage of your convictions.

Leave no room for question or doubt, brook no dissent. Present your argument with total confidence, as though God himself had just handed it to you on a tablet of stone.   


(I have to admit though, I did like your use of brackets)
