He resigned his position as Manager of the Broadway, so that makes his attendance difficult, but we are trying to find a way for him to attend. But it's outwith oir control.

Thanks for reply, had assumed it was something worse than that. Let's hope they sort it out, life's too short and all that. Must get back to my Phil Tuffnell poker DVD, sure it will make all the difference on the 7th.

never mentioned you may be attending Rich,

Thanks tightend on this topic its just what i came on to remind everyone about.

The cardroom will be open at 4pm Saturday and sunday for people to come in and register. Ideally i'd like all players on the saturday in by 7pm and registered with real names (for paperwork sakes)

Name tags have been organised and i'm currently finalising an ante structure that incorparates a few 10 minute breaks here and there so you can all socialise and talk to Redog after he's been eliminated lol after all i'm planning it as more of a social event than a big tournement.

Only thing bothering me is getting it done and dusted by 330am as i would have prefered a 6pmish start but we have to stick to Diks original plans (not that theres anything wrong with them), But if it gets to that stage we could always bring finalists back on sunday afternoon if there are no objections of course (i'll get this sorted one way or another)

Also sorry to be a pain

But if anyone would like to PM me their real names (initial + surname will do) strictly for registration purposes that would be great. This will be needed for anyone who thinks they wont be at the casino well before the comp starts

I know quite a few of you guys anyway but i still have 80+ who i dont know lol or cant remember

so if your playing and cant be at the club for 630pm i would really appreciate your details in advance

Thankyou

Oh and Tony are 425 coming?? heard someone mention it, if so i will need to know so we can accomodate them.

Of course Dik should be there - and any small minded management decision which says he shouldn't will get my vote - my vote to walk away and never darken their doors again. never slow at coming forward I will then talk about their decision in derisory tones to anyone who wantes to listen.

Tracey,

I'm not sure if the decision as to whether dik9 attends is a Management one, or a Gaming Commission one - it may be the latter, so we need to hang fire on criticising Broadway for the moment.

Wolfy - 425 had hoped to be there, but it's now unlikely, as it clashes with the William Hill Rankings Awards in Paris. But it MAY still happen, it is, after all, the Poker 425 blonde Forum, so I know that if 425 CAN be there, they will. I will know for sure next week.

Absolutely - no offence meant if its gaming commission decision because they are god. However if its a management decision they should remember that they are not......

Thanks for ALL of your support everyone, it is very much appreciated. However the only way that I would be allowed in is as a guest of the management, and this would be extremely rare for an ex employee to be invited. My main concern is that everyone has a good time and enjoys themselves,.The whole concept was really, so that people could put faces to names and to give "the communty" an even closer feeling (not that it even needs it!). The poker was really a tool to do such a thing as it is the common denominator, therefore giving an excuse for people to meet up. The fact there is a poker game serves 2 purposes, the first is a bonus as everyone enjoys playing it, the second is an ice breaker for people who have never met. This could have been done in a pub, but I couldn't see people travelling from all across the UK to attend for 4 hours of getting rat arsed. This is why I put the £100 FO on the Sunday as those people were more than likely to stay overnight for a comp they could win a few quid at.
A comp, a quiz, food and drinks, pleasant surroundings and staff, and a good gathering of people from here. Sounds better than a New Years eve party to me! I am jealous, but please don't turn this into a "poor dik9" thread LOL. I am sure if I don't see you at the Hotel (maybe even the casino), our paths will more than likely cross, if not whilst I am running a comp, then at a future blonde bash. Cheesy
