Ok, hand that caused a bit of a stir, I'd like your opinions on please. I have my views, but will try to remain neutral for discussion purposes.

Local £30 headhunter. General standard is, as you'd expect fairly tez. Blinds 300/600 (15 mins left at this level). Player A (cut-off +1) raises to 1600 (stack 12.5k), player B (cut-off) re-pops to 5k (stack 18.5k), folded back to Player A who shoves with and get called by  .

A little history between the players. previous level Player A raised (early pos), player B states that he folded  . Player B is also quite vociferous in his criticisms at the table and is seen as quite agressive. Player A is also known for overplaying marginal hands.

Sorry about the rambling, but feel the info is important.

One question, what do you think of thew pre flop shove by player A???

Ok, hand that caused a bit of a stir

^Really?

Pretty standard spot. Eights could fold to 3-bet if the cut-off is tight I guess, but as you've said he's not, looks fine to me...

Cutoff+1 is the Hijack btw

cutoff -1 is the hijack

cutoff +1 is the button

so according to op the button is acting before the cutoff. I can only assume that this is what caused a stir as the rest looks standard

Standard of this hand actually seems strangely high for a random £30 headhunter

Player A's shove gets most hands he's racing with to fold.

Obv we don't like putting 2/3  of our stack in with AQ but when we're asking to put 5k into 18.4k against a player I have history with I'm never folding.

Personally I disagree that Player B is EVER folding pre-flop, he will be left to call 7.5k into about 7.5k after already raising ~30% of his stack

So as long as player B is 3bet calling wide enough then it's fine - as Mr. Atkin says id have no problem folding  here vs a lot of live guys.

Ehhhh..I have literally no idea what I was talking about with the bolded parts..and i wasn't even drinking

What I meant was that I don't like putting 2/3 of my stack in with  but as we are putting 7.5k into 18.4k I can't fold against any aggressive player's range.

Yeah maybe in a live tourney with no history I can fold the but against a player who we have antagonised I am probably never folding this shallow.
