Early stages of APAT event this weekend. So much poker played over the 2 days that some details may be hazy I have 13,000 ish Villain has 16,000 ish 2nd level, blinds 50/100 I make a questionable raise to 250 from mid position with two callers including villain (john Miller?) who is in BB. He's fairly active and fairly chatty - he's also been getting a lot of decent hands, he's already shown KK twice Flop Villain bets 250 Call or raise? and what's the plan on a 'safe' turn card?

I'd call now and raise the turn. I'd raise flop if board was 2 tone.

from my experience at APAT i would just call. When i raise i get flashed a ten as villain is mucking.
his bet is pretty small so probably "seeing where he is" with some sort of small pair

Villain is def capable, but is also known to spazz by playing tricky. Wouldnt surprise me if we get to the river in this hand facing a jam!
I've played alot with him on line if it is (Derek) John miller (riverasusual)

Raising this every time expecting him to at least peel a turn with a ten. If he's really nitty enough to fold a decent T here to a raise please just raise every flop lead and show a huge profit

I like the raise on the flop here too. If he's got something he'll be coming along anyway. It does depend on your image too though, as if he has you tagged as very tight (especially post-flop) then a raise might scare him - but as Dan said that's good as you can then raise relentlessly on the flop going forward.

I make a questionable raise to 250 from mid position with I'm not asking any questions. Id be questioning why ud folded here with 130bbs. +1 Everything Dan Morgan says itt.

make it 1000, they call more when its one chip, easier to get all teh moniez in by the river too, although i expect him to peel the flop and fold to a biggish turn bet.

so there is around 1300 in the pot yh? with like 12.5k back eff.?
Id be betting pretty big here, with villain description id try rep a T looking to "shut the hand down" and hope this induces some random spazzy creative line from him. like 1.1k maybe. also 1.1k if he calls makes the pot 3.5k with 11.4k back, so you can bet 2.4k or something on the river and that sets the stacks up nice for a jam if Guy is that sure he'll be c/jamming a bunch of rivers.
Tough to get value now though cos the pot is small so he's less likely to try some random bluffs. Raising the flop your hand looks like a OP and I think he's likely to try rep a 6 if you take that line, fwiw.

I would def slow play the flop and just call. I think if you raise in that spot it narrows down your range and you may not get as much action on the future streets. Also, your table image and previous played pots with the guy should be taken into consideration before making a decision.
On the turn I would bet between 75-100 as if to represent a bluff in his eyes by acting on his check (weakness) and hopefully induce a raise.
