Tony McCoy - 1.96
Graham McDowell - 6.2
Lee Westwood - 10
Phil Taylor - 12
Jessica Ennis - 18
Amy Williams, Tom Daley - 21
Mark Cavendish, Graeme Swann, David Haye - 50

Phil Taylor finally gets included on the shortlist.

Given what happened with Giggs last year, McCoy looks awfully skinny at odds-on.

lol @ David Haye

McCoy gets my vote, in winning the national he completed his career dream and champion jockey for 15 seasons tells its own story

Although it could definetly be argued that he is more deserving of some sort of a life achievement award (same with Taylor)

This year solely i think McDowell wins hands down but because i want McCoy to win because i love racing i will vote for him.

McDowell will get my vote, basically because I have very little interest in horse racing.

taylor doesn't even play a sport and I'm not convinced that the 3 above him are big enough houshold names, despite what they've done this year I'm not convinced the average bbc viewer who phones these things would know

in a public vote I make ennis massive @ 18

Really hope McCoy wins, really deserves to be recognised for the genius he is.

Hopefully the Grand National win will trigger enough votes,...... but can't have odds on!

Very open year. Swann an enormous price? Ashes happening now and popular sport. Darts and racing less mass appeal sports and gmac low profile for his odds

G-Mac for me but Westwood could be a decent sweat.
Better known to the general public. Not won a major but is World Number 1.
Won't be touching it though as it isn't an amazing line up. Nice to see no footballers there.

Tempted to back Ennis to lay later, same w/ Swann especially if he does something in the current Ashes.

Weakest line up ever?

2001, 06, 07, last year?

Winner won't be the strongest, but entire lineup of 10 looks ok to me.

Wish Taylor would finally get it.  He is so dominant in his sport and the best ever in his sport.  If any other sportsman had his acheivements they would have won this 4 or 5 times already.  McCoy best jockey ever but very short here.  Agree Ennis is probably value but the trick to this is to lay all the runners when they are on screen during show and back back for a profit 10-15 minutes later.

how the fuck is Jake Cody not in this?

Cant see McCoy getting enough general public backing for this, the two golfers will probably cancel each other out otherwise I would have said one of them, I'd love to lay Jessica Ennis.

I would actually kinda like to see Phil Taylor win, even though its totally lol considering him an athlete, because imo he is the biggest personality of the bunch and dominates his field more than any other. Also he probably was a lot more physical than David Haye had to be in his career this year (as am I, typing this).
