even snow clouds have a silver lining

travel round m25 daily being doing so for 2 years
junction 19 to 11 and back
best travel conditions i have know this week
half empty roads no queuing no congestion average journey time reduced by 10 to 15 minutes each way

and today
work made a decision to allow all to finish an hour early because of the bad wheather LOL

pretty much the same here - no more than a couple of inches of snow and the main roads are fine, but still people seem to be staying at home.  My journey usually takes 40-50 minutes, taking half the time these last couple of days as there's virtually no traffic.

I've been on leave Monday to Wednesday, was meant to be Christmas shopping but haven't really been beyond our street due to the amount of snow, over 18 inches. Back to work today and left early to dig the car out again and drive the 25 miles to work. The journey took me three times longer than usual just to find a decision had been made to close the office today. The roads in my street and the main road it leads onto are by far the worst I encountered, the M8 was none too clever either around Bathgate and Livingston but the roads being pretty deserted made it much easier.

Don't know what I was complaining about, same journey took 6 hours today including almost 3 hours completely stationery on the M8, scariest thing is that if I stayed on one junction longer I would probably still be there.

The bus collected the girls for school this morning!!!

Pretty sure he got a call from his boss to say WTF - as he was the only bus refusing to run this week.  Roll on the two day heat wave!
