Registration has now closed. Total number of entrants is 284, meaning there is a £15,200 overlay. Pretty incredible considering a lot of speculation before we started was that the overlay was going to be over £30,000.

thought it was a £300 + £35 event

means they have to add just under 5k to the pot

still alot of money but i hate when people talk about overlays  they dont add in the casinos take into the pot to make it sound bigger

i have seen some online comps claim overlays when after they take the rake the site actually made money on the comp

obviuosly thsi aint the case here as they still need to pay for dealers etc etc but in truth punters put £95140 into the pool

Do u want them to make gtd's which take reg fees into considerations?  They had hoped for 334 people so gtd it at £111'890?

Sorry, but ridic post.

Just seen a weird hand play out on table Alans

Stewart Crick limps in mid position at 100-200/25

Brian Goddard calls on the button

Both blinds/make up check including Alan Gray in the big blind

1000 in the pot. All four stacks are sub 10,000

flop of  sees Crick lead for 300, called by Goddard and Gray

turn  two hearts Gray leads for 400, Crick calls, Goddard folds

river  Gray leads for 525, Crick makes it 1200, Gray calls

Crick flips   Two Diamonds two spades

Gray flips.......well give me a guess or two, before I reveal. Think head scratcher!

The Duke

Unraised in Gerard's big blind he has

flop

small blind leads 1,500

Gerard makes it 3,500 with 6,000 back

a limper on the button makes it 7,000

Small blind folds

Gerard puts him on Ace-ten, shoves

Called by Ace-Ten, with  and the immortal words "oh well, you've won this one"

turn spade, river spade

and the immortal word "sorry"
