All this reminds of that geezer on THM a few years ago.

He bought up all the domain names of uk poker players and added poker after them.

He tried to flog me keithawkinspoker and keiththecamelpoker .com and .co.uk.

Yeah right mate, you'll be alright.

That'll probably be the same chinese fella I know, who spent £400 on web names ....... and bought all the old nicknamed players (actually inspired by blondepoker.com) Think he did ok with that venture too as he sold Devilfish poker for 10 large along with a few others at 1k a pop.

Where there are Egos and business there is loot, cant get bigger ego's than poker players.

With regards to domain names, can't companies (and i assume people) file an order with a court or something to grant a domain name if someone is trying to rip them off?  Like if I'd have managed to get Microsoft.co.uk,  I'd have to hand it over if Bill Gates or his people have asked, I'm pretty sure I can't sell it too them for 100k or anything

We get them at work contacting us, "we've got bracknellengravingandtrophyservices.co.uk you can have for only £2k"  Um ok, I think I'll pass tyvm

The thing is the geezer the was selling the nicknames was also the the geezer who was making up a few of the nicknames. His claim to fame was his nicknames for poker players, he did have a website with all the players he supposedly named with copyright too lol. you know what some members on here get real funnt when someone else does ok or comes up with a good idea.,.,.,10-12 months ago i swear on my sons life when you were all going on about staking threads about stocks and shares,,i was gonna suggest to do the numberplate thing,as there are some very very inteligent people on here i thought could add a lot to my idea,,,i thought it would have been a great idea as a lot of you guys know how to word emails etc and advertise these plates the right way,,,block email companies ect.,.,i thought what a grea laugh we would have had along the way,,also earning a few quid out of it,,,copmetitions for who sells the highest plate or who sells the most in a year.,.,.,.,.,who comes up with the real good ones,..,.,more of us to be at the computers ready to buy on sale days etc.,.,.,
