I had an offer this week to play live cash at the Vic. The offer also includes £100 comps.

The plan is to start on 1/1 and gradually work my way up, Played my first session on Wednesday. Sat with £150, got it up to £310, then finished the evening on £160.

Few questions:

Are these games hugely profitable longish term?

Are they very swingy generally?

Best strategy? See flop multi way or try and get pots heads up pre?

Am I better just going straight into the 1/2 and not sitting as deep?

i was watching these games in the vic the other night and i did wonder with the size of stacks and the £10.50 a hand max rake i was also wondering if it is a good game to play in.

Had a great weekend in Windy Brighton. Arrived Friday afternoon (later than planned, sigh) checked in to the metropole and went straight out for a walk via the chippy next door. Walked down to the end of the pier and back, then had to have a lie down ffs. Sadly, this wasn't the only walk of the weekend. It was just the beginning Sad

Friday night WALKED to zizzi's and back, via the smallest pub in Brighton. Owned by a couple of gay guys, who retired from London 13 years ago. It has a theater theme running throughout and a norfolk terrier acting as security.

Saturday, done some more walking, and visited some shops. I took the 'staying outside' option. It's the best way to avoid falling out imo. Stopped for a drink and something to eat, then walked back to the hotel. Sat night was Nando's night. I love it there. Quick stop off in the pub on the way back, to find we were the only ones in there, and ended up staying for 2 hours talking to one of the owners.

Got some recommendations of nice restaurants from Flushy, but never got round to them. Am going back in January, which is completely normal, and will try one of them then.

Got some pictures of the sea, which I think were quite good (for me) and will stick them up later.

Needs a catchier title.

I won't enter because I'm scared of winning. RSQ tilts me so much. I don't know why because it is so popular with a lot of people. Might become brave one day and give it another go.

Got back home on Sunday afternoon and had a quick kip before heading off to Luton for a meeting about a new poker venture. Played the comp, and was going well until I couldn't let go of 78 on a A 8 8 flop. He jammed the ten on the turn and I called. He had 8 10! Managed to bag 10% of Eso, while he was chip leader with 10 left, in exchange for 20% of me. WP him. He did grim me for £2 the bastard. Wish I hadn't bought him dinner now.

Tonight sees the start of that new venture. Exciting times for me...

Tonight I'm off to the Vic, to play 1/2. Following the suspension of my previous staking deal, I was approached by someone else to see if I wanted to continue, on a similar deal. Only this time, it's a lot better IMO.

Previously, I was restricted to just playing the Vic, and on certain nights, and sometimes it would be 1/1, sometimes 1/2. This deal sees me going straight in at 1/2. I can of course play 1/1 if the game looks better than the 1/2, which is good. I have basically been given free licence to do what I want, when I want and where I want. The instructions were just play/play/play and hopefully win/win/win.

I'm really happy with this deal, It gives me a chance to play more than I would be able to, and gives me an opportunity to improve. By coincidence, Pretty Boy Martin rang me today to see if he could grab a lift to the Vic, he thinks I'm doing it because he is so pretty and I'm a good guy, he doesn't realise I'm gonna be squeezing him for every bit of information he has stored in his pretty little head.

Also, I'm really happy at the trust shown in me. Not just in terms of ability, but more in terms of honesty and integrity. There is no way of tracking what I win or lose, they are totally reliant on accepting what I say, so for someone to show that amount of faith in me makes me feel good. Thank you Smiley

Good luck me.

Been no work last couple of days. Hated it. The more time I seem to have, the less I seem to get done. Even had to buy Sir Donks lunch today, in exchange for some computer fixing. Plunged to new lows ffs.
