Good to see you on Friday Vinny, sounds like you had a cracking weekend.
Had a quiet couple of nights in Birmingham after leaving you. Spent a while chatting to Dom Kay on the Saturday, very nice guy, called you a dick though.

Wanna hear the worst beat Dom? I barely drank any of it before fking straight back off the hotel!
Next one's on me
Nah u were shrewd, wish i'd swerved the evening like you, still getting debits on my bank account from it coming through!
See you soon no doubt mate, i can't decide on the luton deepstack/ dtd/ both or neither!
It's possible I might be swerving live poker for a while, losing the online poker hunger big style, kinda a terrible thing.
Luton Deepstack obv - I'll buy you an OJ

Been a quiet week, went back to work on tuesday, only reinforced that I need to leave, may well be taken out of my hands before then anyway, loads of local authorities are making cuts, and the service that I work for are massively under risk. If so, so be it, It may give me the boot up the arse that I need, but I'm now actively looking for something else. Sort of.
The on off on off Gauchos trp was back on again at 2pm yesterday when Cos phoned to say he was meeting with Mitch and we were going to Gauchos at 7. I instantly said yes, then realised I had arranged to take my dad to go and get a curry for dinner, so had to backtrack. Next time.
After dinner I went to Stanleys for their £100 deeper stack, fairly decent comp, but I dislike the place, don't know why I go, I always feel the same when I leave there, even when I finished fourth two months ago, I left there thinking why do I go there? No doubt I will be back there at the end of March for their next one though.
No plans to play now til the English Deepstack at the G on Thursday. Am really gonna have to give myself a shake, if I'm gonna do any good in that. This is my first 'taking a shot' comp of the year, It could be my last if I fuck it up. Am getting so annoyed at playing like a dick.

Got some photos of the Glasgow weekend that I know you are all dying to see.... I'm gonna see if i can put them up in a bit.
I have re-booked to go to Glasgow again for 17-21 March. Not entirely sure If I'm gonna go or not as it means being away on Holly's 1st anniversary. Initially thought it would be a good idea to be away, now I'm not so sure. Lots of things to think about there.

Dunno really, I like Jim & Simon, I think that's why I go there, And i sort of like the structure, I think it's just some of the people that play there, a lot of them are experts, happy to tell you how you played the hand wrong/they played the hand right, the guy who was table banging chompy on Thursday, was on my table last night and was a complete tit, then there is rugmuncher or whatever chompy calls her, oh and I don't run too good there either. LOL, the last point isn't a real reason. It's just not somewhere I have enjoyed playing for some reason.
Poor Lucky yesterday, jumping out his chair whenever I coughed. I think he was glad when I got moved. The man flu is still the same, I'm soldiering on though, but wouldn't be surprised if I didn't make it through the night. It's that bad!!

I enjoyed it last night - my table was nice and friendly though. i thought your tactic of coughing your lungs up all over your chips every time you bet was a pretty good one.

Random thought of the day: What would your life be like, if blonde had never been invented? You would never have met certain people, wouldn't have gone to certain places at certain times, because you only knew about it because it was on blonde etc. Could go on and on.
Another random thought of the day: Hw do make something happen that you want to happen, but don't know if anyone else wants it to happen, or even if it's possible for it to happen, do you just sit back and hope it happens? Or do you go and try and make it happen? And if you try and make it happen, Will that make it less likely to happen?
Answers on a postcard please.

The answer obv is......it depends
Each situation will have its own set of constants and variables. The more of these there are, the more complex the problem. So the best way to make something happen is to identify as many of them as possible, identify what they actually do/how they react to certain things/how they interact with each other and plan based on that information.

the 'if blonde had never been invented' stuff is not even worth starting to contemplate. my life would be very different now in lots of ways, but no idea which direction it would have taken - could be better, could be worse.
with the other thing, i don't see how trying to make something happen could ever make it less likely to happen.
