Cheese Pastizzis are lovely as are the mince ones.

Bragioli is a favorite dish of mine in Malta

Also CISK is so good.

very under rated. I'm not a big drinker, but i enjoy Cisk, more than any other lager.

Ok, you lot can decide. He has grown his hair to shoulder length, has a man bag, uses roll on deodrant in the middle of the street, bought some ridic cocktail in a reggae pub called bum hole clot, and turned down a night of sex with his 20 year old Swedish burd,  in favour of watching poker with.

Looking forward to hearing the case for the defence.

FU.

Need man bag to carry my beach towel etc, used the roll on while changing from beach clothes to casino clothes in the underground casino carpark (hardly middle of the street), Cocktail is a Bambaklaat, which is a strawberry mojito served in a pint glass with 6 shots of rum in, making burd wait a night has paid off handsomely in following nights, and I got to watch Tony G dig a hole for Hellmuth on the big game, bury him alive in it whilst shouting "RETIRE!!" at him constantly.

And at least I can swim.

I googled pastizzi too...sounds better than a cornish pastry but not as good as a bridie.......
I was in Malta years ago vin....family holiday......would love to go back.....enjoy

Just about right Chas, went to Valetta on Wednesday to see the dentist, stupidly stopped on the way for a couple of cheese ones, ended up with half of the stuck to my teeth. wp me.

Malta dentists ftw btw. Evil fuckers, but good. Deserved all I got for not going for so long. Fairly sure I won't learn tho.

Had a few pastizzis both times I've been to malta. One was an octopus one and was fucking rank.
Some are pretty nice though. Not in the kouba league obv.

Generally the rabbit and octopus dishes out there are goooot.

wtf is this? I'd never heard of it, so checked with my dad, and he said he has never heard of it either Constantine.

Was conned into eating rabbit spaghetti once, about 20 years ago. Never again. Octopus can GTF too.

Ok Stu, I'm obv not an expert like your good self, so will bow to your knowledge & experience on this one. I just remember about 20 years ago, spending hours & £££ trying to get pissed on Heineken & Carlsberg, with no joy, then changed to Cisk & found it went down a lot easier, therefore had the desired affect a lot quicker.

Paceville have announced today that the Feast of St Hopkin will be held on 26 November Smiley

My dad is here 3/11 to 28/11. I may come out for a few days when you are here then. Big crowd going like last time?

Finally, after 4 attempts, managed to cash in a comp here. 50E freezeout. Was a bit hesitant to say it before, as hadn't really done anything to prove otherwise, but the standard of play over here is horrific. Sure, there are some good players, but there really are some terrible ones. Not as bad as Chompy, but not far off.

Played the excellent 6 max comp last week, and didn't really deserve to go any further than I did, then played a 25E beginners comp, where I played a hand v an Italian, who had been commenting on my constant 3 betting with 72o/s, I eventually found a hand (well 10 J), flopped two pair, and he paid me off on every street, including my river jam.

Then the next night, I'm sat on a table with him to my right, and two of his friends to his right, when the following happens...

Blinds are 100-200, and he limps utg. Everyone folds and his mate in the BB checks.

Flops comes  and they both check.

Turn is the  three clubs and the BB bets 200, utg calls.

The river is the  two spades and the BB checks, by now there is some conversation between the two of them, not much tho, and I don't know what they were saying obv. UTG then flips over  for the nuts. The dealer mucks it, and utg protests that he has won the pot, so he is obv aware what he has.

I then say to the dealer, that surely he isn't allowed to check the nuts on the river? The dealer turns round and laughs and says 'This isn't Vegas sir'

Fk that, that's bullshit imo, so I said, I don't give a fuck where we are, you are not allowed to check the nuts on the river, at which point he starts shuffling and shrugs his shoulders. So I say to him to stop shuffling, so we can get a ruling. He sighs and calls over the floor manager, the conversation takes place in Italian, and she nods and walks away. So I ask her what the decision was? She says that A) He wasn't last to act, and B) there was a pair on the board. Huh? So I explain that that is incorrect, and she should check the camera. The dealer then decides to change his version, and agree with me. So she changes her decision, and penalises the nut checker for 1 round. He sure was happy. He eventually came back, and was still sulking, and on the first hand back jammed A 10dd from the SB, only for me to find AK in the BB Wink

I then went onto the final, but massively overplayed top and bottom pair, and departed before the ££.

Other than that, the Casino is excellent, the poker is very well run, with an OK structure, every comp has 20 minutes levels, but has 75/150, and the dealers are very good, so it seems to flow quite well.

Had a nice situation in the comp last night, first hand at the new table, blinds 200-400-25. UTG limps, I rise UTG+1 to 1775 (playing 27k) with AA, UTG+2 shoves 8k, UTG+3 shoves 24k wiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

I hero, and they both have 10 10 Wink Still had to sweat about 43 outs on the river, but I held.

Eventually done a chop at 3.30 this morning heads up. Means I can go and have another crack at the 6 max on sunday.

The italian from earlier played every pot I was in last night, and lost 9-1, including him shoving 10's into my QQ. I offered to shake his hand, but he was too busy crying.
