AJS4385 won the Cash League Final. He's a pretty big cash-player, has been since day one, & lives in Barnsley.
I'd say he's played more cash hands on Sky than any other player - he was 12 tabling when the rest of us couldn't get 4 tables up without our computers grinding to a halt.

how did people do that? jimifloyd used to 12 table dons back then. my comp didn't grind to a halt if I opened 5, it went on a mental meltdown with tables moving around the screen flashing and timing out

I don't know the exact numbers, but he's certainly up there with the Big Boys. I think, for sure, Gliterbabe would play most hands, he has been 10 & 15 Tabling £1 £2 & £1.50 £3 there for a very long time, & I know he earns a fortune in CFP.

No idea!
But many people, AJS included, bristled at the suggestion that they could not comfortably 12 & 15 Table on the browser version.
It matters not now, as the Download is out, but, you'd be surprised to know (I certainly was), that many players, including some of the Big Boys, still prefer to stick with the browser version.
I was talking with LOLUFOLD (Redmond Lee) last week, & whilst he does not play the volume that some of the lads do, he probably plays bigger than most, & is often at the £5 -10 & £10 - £20 Heads Up Tables, with as much as £10k to £15k on the Table - but he is still playing on the old browser version. He said he has no probs with it, & sees no need to convert to the Download.
But, as above, it matters not now, as players have the choice.
Personally, whether it were browser, download, upload, or any other load, I could never manage more than 4 players & still enjoy the experience. Each to their own.

Qualificaton takes place in "quarters", the current one has just begun, & lasts until Match 31st.
As far as I am aware, the Promotion is open-ended, & will continue until further notice.

If Sky Poker ever wants to compete my advice would be to invest in some new software. This is the worst software I have played on. I comfartably 22 table on PokerStars on the computer I use. My pc was dying 2 tabling with Sky Poker. The software needs massive investment if the company wants to expand. That's my 2 cents anyhow.

You're wrong sir from what I understand.
The company does fine and isn't really targeting your typical multitabling grinder.

I'm not a winner. Don't really play that much poker these days but I have played small 2 table sit and gos 22 tabling no problem with holdem manager, msn, itunes + table nina running whilst on stars. Just playing Sky Poker with no other software running 2 tables was screwing the computer.
Software in my opinion is incredibly important for a poker company to be a success. Tribecca, Stars and Full Tilt were the frontrunners with their software back when I was playing seriously in 2005/2006 and look at them now. Although Tribecca was sadly bought out Stars and FT are the frontrunners in Online Poker.
There is no doubt that the Sky Poker software is awful and needs investment. I'm sure for a good forum like Blonde to use it as a sponsor, Sky Poker would like to keep its members happy. I'm not the only person to have commented on the software itt.
I am still good friends with online players who play very successfully where volume and software are key to their choice of where to play. Yes Sky Poker has a great unique idea of having the tournament on telly as u are playing, however better software would no doubt increase numbers which in turn would result in an increased rake for the business.

All noted. The Download seems to have been extremely well-received by the player base, & new sign-ups have rocketed since it was introduced just over a month ago, with traffic at an all time high. So numbers are increasing, as is revenue.
It is not, & never will be, 'Stars, but it's very sharply focused on specific market sectors.
But it's not for everyone, obviously. 'Stars has few equals, nobody would be foolish enough to suggest otherwise. Sky Poker needs to play to it's strengths, such as they are, & I don't see major policy changes in the near term.
I wish you well, wherever you play.
