BLAH BLAH to you too Irene!!

Brief translation required there......
"Beanbag" is "beaneh" on Sky Poker, who goes by the name of tiltbeam on blonde.
He so nearly won one of the three TSP spots, only to come up one place shy, in 2nd place, but got £700 for 2nd, so a total wipeout.

AJS4385 won the Cash League Final. He's a pretty big cash-player, has been since day one, & lives in Barnsley.
I'd say he's played more cash hands on Sky than any other player - he was 12 tabling when the rest of us couldn't get 4 tables up without our computers grinding to a halt.
how did people do that? jimifloyd used to 12 table dons back then. my comp didn't grind to a halt if I opened 5, it went on a mental meltdown with tables moving around the screen flashing and timing out
Yup AJS has grinded a tonne on cash. I don't understand why people are asking about playing lots of tables, the ability to truly multi table came when they introduced mini view, before that you needed two screens to be able to play 8-12 tables with disgusting amounts of overlap. With the introduction of the download client they have managed to include a table focus feature so now you actually have tables popping to the front very slightly if there is overlap! win!
I don't know the exact numbers, but he's certainly up there with the Big Boys. I think, for sure, Gliterbabe would play most hands, he has been 10 & 15 Tabling £1 £2 & £1.50 £3 there for a very long time, & I know he earns a fortune in CFP.
But how much did he lose?

And being dealt into 500k hands and only playing 8% of them AJS and myself probably play more hands when dealt 200k hands!
If Sky Poker ever wants to compete my advice would be to invest in some new software. This is the worst software I have played on. I comfartably 22 table on PokerStars on the computer I use. My pc was dying 2 tabling with Sky Poker. The software needs massive investment if the company wants to expand. That's my 2 cents anyhow.
1) They recently brought out new software
2) There is much worse software still out there somehow.
3) It's mostly to do with your PC and not sky.
4) Sky aren't looking to expand as such, it's much more likely they are trying to consolidate what they have and increase the volume played by current members.
5) It's also important to remember the overall platform choices that sky has to cater for, there are people playing through their tv, people on their computers on the download or people on a random computer on the online play version. All of which have to be able to interact with each other. The intrinsic link with the tv channel allows someone to play a £5 comp and watch the show whilst seeing their name up on the leaderboard, have some old fuddies or young sillys read out their name wrong then say well done and that's something that Stars/FTP anyone else cannot really ever have.
You're wrong sir from what I understand.
The company does fine and isn't really targeting your typical multitabling grinder.
The current TSP promotion only benefits ie is targeted towards multai grinders.
My aim for this post wasn't to piss anybody off. I just think for a business to be successful surely it would want its software to be of a good quality. And sadly Sky's is not.
Sky are very defensive when it comes to pointing out potential improvements! Even the 'suggestions' threads on their site are essentially pointless, once something is pointed out and multiple people agree you get explained that Sky doesn't require that or whatever and it's move on peeps time.
Someone mentioned the difficulty of Multi-Tabling on Sky Poker, & yes, some peeps do struggle with it.
Never one to pass up an opportunity, I thought it worth saying that right now - at this very moment - the same 2 Players are playing Heads-Up on 7 different Tables simultaneously, 6 of them at £5-£10, 1 at £4-£8.
The user experience clearly differs from player to player. Those 2 players must have £20k on the Tables, so it must work for them - I can't imagine anyone would have that much at stake if the software's multi-Tabling set-up was such a struggle.
Just go to the Lobby & find & open the Tables if you want to watch them, there are no Rail restrictions.
As someone who plays one or two tables, multi tabling hu is ofc the only way to get a proper game but I still cannot believe that Sky haven't seen a need to add a time bank option what so ever. You're sitting there playing 5/10 and have to call 1k off and you have 10 seconds to act on the river just like you had pre, on the flop and turn. That is so little time if you have other tables up aswell. It is more than possible to have been timed out before you look back to a table 3 over from the one you are concentrating on. When playing for those sort of stakes I don't see how they haven't kicked off yet. Maybe they think that provides/improves their edge somewhat if they are used to it but it's still pretty incredible.
Similarly how the hell can you play omaha hi or hi lo without more than ten seconds for each decision. that just blows my mind I probably couldn't one table Omaha. I'd have timed out before I worked out that my AKQJ double suited made AQ AK AJ QJ KJ KQ hands all of which I would love to play in hold thems!!!
