This starts tonight.  Would be good to play alongside the Blonde League game.


Now, comes the ALL-ROUNDERS' LEAGUE!


These are the events you can expect to play over the next six weeks:


Monday 7th February

No Limit Hold'em  (2,500 chips / 12 min blinds)

 

Monday 14th February

Pot Limit Omaha  (2,500 chips / 12 min blinds)

 

Monday 21st February

No Limit Hold'em Rebuy  (2,000 chips / 10 min blinds)

 

Monday 28th February

No Limit Hold'em Bounty Hunter Turbo  (2,000 chips / 5 min blinds)

 

Monday 7th March

No Limit Hold'em Deepstack  (5,000 chips / 15 min blinds)

 

Monday 14th March

Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo  (2,500 chips / 12 min blinds)

 

Each tournament will start at 19:30 and will cost £10+£1 to enter (apart from the Rebuy event in Week 3 which will cost £5+£0.50).

MereNovice will be keeping score.  Each player will be assessed on his/her three best finishing positions (two from Hold’em; one from Omaha).

IMPORTANT:  You only need to enter three tournaments to qualify for inclusion in the ARL rankings, but you MUST play at least one of the Omaha events.  Otherwise, you won’t be eligible to win one of these fantastic prizes:


1st place = Free seat in a Sky Poker Tour live event

2nd place = Free entry to a Sunday-night Primo tournament

3rd place = Free entry to a Thursday-night Bounty Hunter tournament

4th place = Free entry to a Team Sky Poker Classic tournament

5th place = Free entry to a Take on Tikay tournament

Yes, I'll be playing that tonight, too, it starts at 7.30pm, & I'm registered for that, & the Sky-blonde League thingie at 8.30pm.

Hartigan, of course, is hopeless, hepless, & hapless. Talks a good game though - what a nice gig he has with 'Stars, doing all those EPT commentaries. MBN. He gets the Bahamas, I get Luton.

I have just had to endure a torrent of abuse whilst playing cash on your blessed Sky poker site.

Apparently I did wrong by calling a 'nice' young lady's 3 bet pre     .....      flopping the nut flush     .....     and then milking her down the streets for a few quid.

Cue      ....      the Fishwife.

Where is this warm cuddly Sky community I hear so much of?

I even tried to appease the lady with such kind words as, "is that the last of your dole money, love?"    ....      and even, "gizza kiss" in the chatbox.

But she was having none of it - her gush of abuse grew even worse    ....

I was so traumatised that I felt obliged to book an appointment with my local Counsellor/Councillor to address this mental hurt/or get my bins emptied.

Deserved, you fish.

I was chatting with Sicilidonk last night, trying to subtly suggest he tries to qualify for Vegas via Sky Poker. (Always an angle, eh?).

He says, "let's get this right. If I wn the VLV package with Sky Poker, you have to interview me for the Telly three times  day?"

"And be nice to me?"

"And tend to my needs, fetch me coffee & sticky buns when I want them".

Well, yes, I guess I would.

"And if I'm not happy with my Rio Suite, I come & see you?".

And so he's playing VLV Quarter-Finals tomorrow & Wednesday. I was wondering how I could bok him, ensure he fails to qualify, but Vinni told me not to worry, he has no chance.

I don't play massive volumes like some players on here.

I'm guessing using poker points would be a simple way to do that, assuming they haven't changed how you can earn them ?


2008 = 180 pts
2009 = 486 pts
2010 = 343 pts

2011

Jan = 524 pts
Feb = 450 pts

Based on that, I've played as much in 2011 with the Blonde link up as I did in the previous 3 years.


How will Sky decide whether the link up has been a success or not ?

I gather their management information is stunning

They have a list from me of every blonde player who has signed up in 2011 or played a league or posted anywhere on the forum that they are supporting us

The list says, what they are playing, Sky alias etc etc.

They'll work through the list and see if we are adding value. A lot of the blonde players are "reactivations", people who signed up a while ago and weren't active but now are.

It feels like it is going well. A few bigger players are on there through us, plenty in the leagues, over 240 SNGs played this month in the SNG league etc
