if you PM the guys directly you can normally get v good service, as most actual reported problems aren't real problems or things that need working on it's usually end user issues.


edit so when you use the download it doesn't work, what stage does it get to?

If you go through browser, can you login, can you play that way?

Im not a reg on there, I dont know who to PM.  I looked around the forum and saw a forum for tech queries.  I didnt see anything advising me to PM somebody.

Double click the icon, little sky poker box opens says initializing..... with a circular timer thing.  It just hangs there infinitely however when I click on close it shuts down so its not crashing on startup, its just refusing to load.
I can log into the website and get into the lobbies however my account is busto and I have no desire to play Sky Poker in browser is I think that version is the worst platform Ive ever played online poker on in my life.  So I cant actually load up a game to see if it works.

Tbh the browswer and the download are very similar in how they perform.

Well if you want to play the ukops and things continue as they have done, then i'd suggest testing the browser version, there will likely be no good response/or answer and in general all problems are deflected back onto the end user even if it's 100% clear it's at the service providers end.

Yeah Im not too fussed about UKOPS, when I played the browser version before the downloadable version came out I had tons of problems on Chrome with tourney/sngs tables not opening up when they started and when I tried to open them it said I was already seated.  It did let me watch myself blind away.  Obv support told me it was an error on my end and I should be performing "regular PC maintenance" before every game I play on Sky Poker and then acted like they did me a massive favour refunding me £11 for a tourney that opened up over an hour late when I had 3 BBs.  Then refused to refund me for a £60 HU SNG that I couldnt sit at at all.

.....yeah so the browser version can GTFO!

ha remember the support is 'sky' support it's not specific to poker therefore it essentially knows nothing.


I coulda helped you with the chrome problem as I had that ages ago and it took me a day or two to figure out. It was just a thing with chrome.

iirc what happened is that Sky would try to open the table and chrome would block it, it just had to be turned off in the settings somewhere in chrome (click the spanner top right).


Also there was a chrome specific help thread stickied in the technical queries section at the top.

Basically i regged for 3 or 4 sng`s and they never loaded up, thought they were taking some time to fill at first but when i went looking realised i had blinded out.

Think after that i tried a freeroll mtt to test it again a while later and table didn`t load, so closed download and tried browser then vice versa.  Still didn't load so manually found my table from lobby list and tried opening it from there but got message you already have this table open, rinse repeat a few times then gave up.

Patience ftw lol.

(from the mtt lobby i could open any other table but my own)

The problem was chrome blocked the pop up, you had to go to the bottom corner and get it to allow the page in future then it just worked.
