Yes I don't mind any comments, questions, criticisms, whatever- all the interaction is what makes the diary enjoyable. But that was blatant trolling and even if everybody here knows it, there'll still be the odd person that reads it and that'll then stick in their mind and they'll have that opinion of me which is totally wrong. I suppose I shouldn't care about that.

Hand 4: Facing an early position raise I decided to re-raise with two Kings. My opponent re-raised this re-raise so I was left with a decision for my tournament life. I decided he might have two Queens, maybe two Jacks and maybe Ace-King. So I thought my Kings were probably the best hand. So I decided to go all-in. Unfortunately my opponent had two ACES and I did not improve and excited the tournament.

I think my poker play was perhaps poor in this tournament actually George and maybe I rushed the early period of the tournament.

I thought your registration for this tournament was very weak Alex and if you had registered 10 minutes earlier you would have not been dealt two kings against two aces on the 4th hand.

In future I would appreciate the full facts in a TR as this had a clear affect on the outcome of the donkament.

I'm really enjoying your blog, as i have been from the start. I'm sure that many others are too.
As far as negative criticism, digs, whatever you want to call it. You will get that occasionally, from some quarters, on an open forum, as sure as night follows day. I guess that you are just going to have to deal with it, the same as you have to deal with poker tilt. You need to be strong and rise above it.
As for poker hands, tournament reports etc. As far as i'm concerned, you can, and should, do what the hell you like. You dont have to give any info whatsoever about any tournament that you play in. The fact that you do, is appreciated by the people who are genuinely interested in taking a look and seeing how your poker career is progressing.
So keep up the good work, and dont let the small minority of people, that have nothing positive to offer, affect your attitude. GL.

I sometimes like to limp hand 3, but I do so knowing it is a leak.  I admire his discipline here.

Flatting kings would make me feal a bit dirty.  Overall raising leaves me in a more positive frame of mind, though this positivity is mostly negated by the fact I lose $55 one minute later.

Not that im trying to be inflamatory JK but I better than most know how tough it is to really paint a picture of poker hands sometimes.  And not that I have any idea about the hands in question but I think the post is fair and gentle as trolling goes.  Id be interested to see the hands in question and alex's side of why they were played the way they were. Lots of players justify things by saying 'oh that's standard' when sometimes it is but sometimes it really isn't.

I watched the hands John, as I said above, they were standard. I wouldnt say they were standard if they werent (I wouldnt even react). They were just your general bet flop/bet turn/get CRai'd/fold.

Its not wether its gentle or harsh in terms of trolling, its the fact that hes signed up to troll Alex. That pisses me off no end.

Anyway completely agree with Dubai about the mindset of Blackjack etc. Cant believe you guys do that tbh, its pretty stupid. Yeah I know its fun and a good laugh etc, but the money you guys are playing for is a bit ridic...

I would say this is a pretty standard line to take for a reply. Maybe a compliment to balance your range?

If you enjoy it then it doesnt matter if its -ev. If you dont enjoy it dont do it even if its +ev.

Life is far more important than E bloody V.

If I only did things I enjoyed, I wouldn't be able to afford the things I enjoy.

I'm still loling at this.

And obv fold Kings pre he's got Aces.
