This is what I wrote here about the $700 day2
"The $700 started with me 3betting J9o bb vs cutoff and cbetting 97x, he floated with JT and barrelled a 6 turn and found the Ten on the river and checked back. So that was about half my stack gone. Then I raise called off 22bbs with KK and lost to AJ, leaving me with 4bbs which soon found their way in QT which lost to 22"
I'm going to look through my HEM to see if you are correct and I did play any other key hands that I haven't noted down (god forbid I play some hands that I don't write about in a two sentence TR)
OK you're right I did play a hand with AQ where a 32bb stack opened, I 3bet to get it in and he peeled and it came T87 and I check folded. What an idiot!
There's another hand where I 3bet the small blind with Q9ss vs a btn opener and folded when he jammed.
They're the only two hands I played and lost that I didn't report. I don't see what your problem with that is. I lost <5 bbs in each hand!
I do take exception with your comments. You've created an account, asking me to create a TR (actually you said "TR report" which is just nonsensical). A report for an online tournament where cashed for 3x my buyin? Really? Then when what I've written doesn't live up to your hopes, you flame my play and say I'm portraying a false picture when I'm not at all.
Your facts are all wrong too!
you played 3 hands, you tried to rep the flop each time and each time you got called, your turn bets were weak and didn't make any sense so you ended up spewing 100k with the blinds at 3k/6k.
I made ONE flop cbet with J9 on 97x, then I checked the turn and called when I had my opponent drawing to 7 outs and he got there on the river.
I didn't play ANY other flops at all!
Other than check/folding AQ and T87! What are you talking about?

Your TR report is not totally true now is it Alex, in the first 20 mins of the 700 wcoop you played 3 hands, you tried to rep the flop each time and each time you got called, your turn bets were weak and didn't make any sense so you ended up spewing 100k with the blinds at 3k/6k. You then had your KK V's AJ, you started that hand with just under 80k. You lost and had 20k left when the blinds were still 3k/6k. If you are going to paint a picture of how/why you didn't run deep into a tournament on day two its best to tell the whole truth. Not something that excuses your bad play. You played those first 3 hands badly. You had a starting stack of just under 180k and you rushed the early period of the tournament.
I have watched you a number of times on stars and I've been interested at your TR, they clearly don't represent the "truth"............... so, unlucky with the KK hand but lets have the correct detail behind some of your poor poker plays.
Kind regards.

Think I must be some kind of hard ass because words like 'bad play' 'rushed' and 'poor play' don't tend to upset me so much.
Unknown account who choses the name "poker truth" clearly his intention was to attack Alex here, I'd have no problem with him calling Alex out on being dishonest in his report, if he'd have thrown an example of a hand in, or even given us his name. But unknown account, 2 post, "poker truth" come on lol
and Mantis WE ALL KNOW you love this kind of stuff, Mantic's as I think they should be referred to! You're blondes infamous hero though, years and years of Mantic's! If I were you I'd be tilted this clown rolling along and making a mockery of your good work.

also Alex I'm with Dubai. There is no justification for gambling by saying it's "0EV" or maybe I have a slight edge. Gambling is gambling, we do it cos we want to do it, just like any activity if it's too expensive for you or taking up too much of your time the sensible thing would be to not do so much of it.
People aren't always sensible though, speshly gamblers/poker players.
Nothing wrong with gambling.

Yes it's ironic his name is poker_truth, but his post contains almost no truth in whatsoever, a couple of totally untrue facts and calls me out for being dishonest when there's not a single lie or omission of a hand in my posts (apart from 2 hands where I lost <5bbs!). Will to send full day2 HH for anyone who wants to see THE REAL STORY!

I'm not justifying the "gambling" aspect of it - I'm questioning whether it can be bad long term if it stays within the house, so stays as 0ev. It probably is bad though.

it's obviously bad lol, if the definition of BAD = NOT DOING IT, would be better than DOING IT.
Doesn't mean you should stop doing it. You could apply the same logic to lots of social activities and life would be boring.

They should make a poster of this to put in every poker room. Or a pop up window on every poker site.

I agree in a way, but if it's really financially harmful then it's probably a good idea to nip it in the bud or cutdown.

If I only did things I enjoyed, I wouldn't be able to afford the things I enjoy.

Yeah well in genuine Mantics we recognise the intention but choose to answer the normal questions in a normal way whilst letting the tone slide and hence striking an easy interweb victory. If somebody pokes a stick and gets the great animated reaction they want then it's a stick poker win. If something is not true then stay cool and explain why, no sweat. Almost every time I open the saloon doors of blondepoker these days I see people running around with their skirts in the air like women at a WI meeting who have just seen a mouse. Posts deleted and stuff covered up and now we have the tone police on the scene. Contending with a few curve ball questions like this is very standard when your views are posted on a public forum. It's not some big outrage.
