I'm busy watching the O'Reilly vs Jon Stewart Rumble debate from the other day.
I still keep thinking that the whole world is one big level and i'm on the fking Truman show.
Romney just cant be real, O'Reilly cant be real. It's all just such utter bullshit how is it not scripted.

This isn't a moan in anyway, it's a reporting of the facts as this is a diary! I've had two of the worst sessions of MTTs I've ever played. Saturday was the worst ever and it's not even close, and today was really brutal but not quite as bad. I played terrible in the deepstack for gg 2x £500 bullets, but played really well online across the weekend but got battered over and over. It wasn't financially the worst ever, but emotionally it was really tough. Loving the game difficult at times!
Luckily I softened the blow winning £3k over the weekend in two short cash sessions at DTD but I lost £1.3k in tournament buyins at DTD and about £2.5k online so defo down for the weekend + jack and PJ both knocked it in.
Can't wait to go to Prague now. Also wanna go back to Tallinn
I find this whole lovingthegame thing interesting, do you really think you do actually lovethegame ? I definitely don't think you do, and neither do I (not saying this coz I'm on an actual downswing
). I love what the game has giving me, but that's a very different thing. I like playing poker for many reasons but I don't love it, it's a brutal game and we just happen to be the small % of fortunate ones that do alright at it, you a little bit more than me
I think there's very few people who lovethegame, like maybe 2 people on all of blonde lovethegame, imo.
I play poker for a living because I love the freedom it allows me more than anything and I'm not that bothered about money, so as long as I'm happy and surviving (easy rubs there) I will keep doing it. I think you need a bit more than that though, as we spoke about in Marbellaaaaa.
Not having a pop at you btw, glad you are crushing it but just was planning to post about this on my diary but was waiting until I was crushing myself so I didn't seem like it was just a bitter rant, cba to wait that long though.
I love the game. Love playing it, love the fact that when I'm playing the game I can shut out all the 'real world' distractions and just be in the moment.
I love the problems it poses and the satisfactions it brings when a hand plays out as planned. 3 bet and bet three streets vs Frankie on Saturday with a shove on the river that brought a very reluctant fold. Love the fact that he's still not sure he was right. Didn't enjoy busting four live tourneys in two days without a win, but still love the game.
I don't know that I'd love it if I depended on it for my income though.
Basically I think there's very few people who'd love it if they weren't any good at it.
It's like sex - we love it even when we're not that good at it; we think we're better at it than we are; and having a good hand helps.

Hard for me to <3 Stewart and Colbert more than I do. Rare to see such magnificently executed satire on American TV.

I don't understand how O'Reilly can believe his own shit so much as to actually stand there and get gunned so hard, made to look a complete fool (again and again) and then stand there still basically arguing by saying
NO YOU
and seeming so confident.
ignorance really is bliss.

Had a pretty hilarious impromptu night out last night after the fireworks debarcle (which involved losing everybody except PJ so me and him were just on our own watching them - so lame). The night out was really fun though!
Sadly when I got home I thought it would be a good idea to empty my accounts by playing cash completely smashed. What an idiot. Luckily sunday was bad enough the damage was limited, but it was still stupid amount to lose in that manner. To be honest I don't even think what I did was that terrible, I was playing 4handed 2/4 on .FR and the cutoff opened I 3bet the button with KJo and he 4bet. It can't really be terrible to 5b allin with KJ vs an unknown at these stakes can it?! I mean on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the spewiest, the J2o sort of scale. I don't think it can be more than 5.
Hmmm. Anyway, officially going on the naughty step now. Being doing absolute chunks flipping with the boys recently too, I really do run terrible in 0ev forms of gambling. And Sam Macdonald has taken it upon himself to lodge at our house for over a week now and just take all of our money the lucky prick
He's a terrible influence too, biggest degen I've ever met I reckon.
So ideas for naughty step punishment? I'm think forcing myself to play bowl stakes until I make the money back. And/Or forcing myself to go to the gym.
